We’ve been complaining for well over a year about this and they’re still “gathering feedback”. How much feedback do you need AOL? We all use this for EMAIL! Why are you forcing us to your news pages? We. Do. Not. Want. That! Let us pick OR set up email as the automatic default because you know…lots of people WANT it that way. Stop the BS and fix this.

Not sure why it’s taking them so long to “gather feedback” unless that’s their way of not making a change and not telling anyone. I think that’s actually it.
Just for the record AOL, I HATE OPENING TO THE NEWS AND NOT MY INBOX!

So…how much feedback do you actually need to gather? This has been going on for a LONG time and feedback is plentiful that users want to OPEN TO OUR INBOX! What’s it going to take for you to listen and fix this?????

Since you’ve been “gathering feedback” for so long (and the MANY comments here are obviously not enough feedback), it’s pretty evident you really have no interest or intention of changing this back.
Get this fixed! It’s stupid to MAKE users go to news first! Best option is to let the user choose in settings so that EVERYONE gets what they want. Stop messing around and fix this.

I saw a reply to another request for this…AOL said looking into it but in the meantime just hit inbox in the lower left…I’m sure we’ve ALL figured that out. No, it’s not hard to do but it’s ANNOYING that we have to! Please fix this.

Not sure why this change was made but it is annoying! I use AOL for email so open up to my inbox PLEASE!

What’s happened overnight! Whenever I look at an email from my inbox and hit delete or mark as spam, I get a fill page ad that will not go away…I try to get back to inbox and it keeps popping up. This is crazy!
