AOL fuckwits still blocking the comments section as proof that America is finally admitting that it has banned free speech for everyone, not just Jimmy kimmel. I am Scottish & follow American politics because I don't recognise the authority of the corrupt place called England, their gang hut in London that they call Westminster in particular.
I have never trusted them since I was a child in the 60s & became a Nationalist when I was five, 58 years & counting. Taught my children to be politically aware & make their own decisions about which party they support, both are Nationalist & more involved than I have ever been. They were both old enough to vote in 2014 & witness the english corruption in the run up to the Independence vote, long before trump borrowed the tory & labour scheme to lie at every turn to the Scottish pensioners with the assistance of the BBC. Telling us that our pensioners would lose their pensions the very next day if we voted YES. This lie was enough to persuade enough people to vote NO & deny us our freedom, same way that thatcher denied us home rule in 1979 when we voted for a Scottish parliament, only for thatcher to move the goalposts by saying that a majority of the entire population of Scotland that were over 18 had to vote in favour of devolution, not a majority of those who voted. The only time this has been a condition in any political vote in the entire history of democracy on these islands.
Trump is not the first leader in the democratic west to use subterfuge & corruption of authority & media to get the results he wanted, the english have been doing it to us for 300yrs. I was watching the ryder cup yesterday & he had to fly low over the 15th hole while the last group in the morning foursomes was playing the hole, all because the Americans had already lost the first three matches. He then transferred to his helicopter to fly from the airport onto the course as the players played the final holes.
Next he appeared on the 1st tee to milk the applause of the drunken American crowd before going to sit in his own special bulletproof box, but not for long once he realised that the European players coming out for the afternoon four balls were walking right past him & not even glancing in his direction. Ignoring him completely, well done team Europe!
Trump had to wander out onto the course so he could be the centre of attention (correct spelling of centre). His actions did confirm my theory. Bryson de shambles is a MAGA nut, I don't know it for a fact, I just know it's true! I was annoyed that we didn't see cankles slink away when Europe won the afternoon after winning the morning to end the first day leading 5 1/2 to 2 1/2. By now he will probably be ordering the PGA to find the culprits from the failing European team who has rigged the score &demanded that the FCC takes the golf channel's license away for showing the radical left Europeans outplaying his patriotic American team.
When Europe 🇪🇺 wins on Sunday he will no doubt set ICE on them & deport them to el Salvador. Or perhaps not? After all, his secret service is really busy just now, investigating the serious terrorism act that stopped an escalator earlier this week, when they are not busy hiding the Epstein Files from Congress as the giant orange baby, Cankles McTacotits, does his part by closing down the entire government on the 1st October, that is 01/10/25, not 10/01/25. Any wonder the world thinks the twin towers came down on the 9th of Nov? It's no surprise that Americans on the right believe that his tarrifs are working so well that they will soon see an America where the 99% will be like his oligarch cronies & not have to pay taxes. Even when they realise that it is themselves that are the ones who are paying for the tarrifs & not every other country in the world.

The absence of the comments section for the last week or so has cut my average commenting ability by nearly 25%, by that I mean that 75% of my posts get rejected or are under review for up to a week, by which time I have forgotten what the story or article was about or it is now old news?
Good job that I only ever post comments for my own amusement, usually it is just to make a humorous or sarcastic comment. Sometimes it is tp make a valid point about the topic, sometimes to correct an error made by someone else. They tend to be the victim of my sarcasm, if you can't see the sarcasm then it was most likely aimed at YOU! -

Tora! Tora! Tora? I had never thought about the fact that I spend most of my time interacting with strangers on here and as you say, I am not a pensioner but I am a single disabled man in my 60s who is housebound & the only 'real ' people I ever talk to in person are my morrisons delivery drivers who deliver my groceries. I'm really glad that donald trump Invented the word groceries in January or I would be struggling to explain how lonely my life can be at times when it comes to getting sundries delivered. I can't have been the only person who has been using words like sundries for centuries, this trump guy might be illiterate but he did invent the word groceries so he can't be that thick for an American, if he had grown up on the isle of Lewis where his mother was born he would have been the school dunce & still be trying to get out of the Stornoway primary school today

My thoughts exactly, I am sick fed up with my posts often taking two or more days before I get an email telling me that my post has been accepted, by which time I have forgotten what the topic was & have an even worse memory of what I have said or what it was the response to.
I am a 63yr old gay man with Multiple Sclerosis & type one diabetic, throw in the vertigo my menieres gives me & you will understand that I don't get out much. Healthy debate on this platform has been 99.9 % of my contact with the outside world that doesn't come from my delivery drivers who bring everything I need, even my weed! Got my prescription last Wed, 23% THC. Works a lot better than the opiods I was getting for nothing on prescription but medical cannabis you have to pay a consultant who calls you three times a year & you have to pay for the prescription, £275 for 40grams.
I use this place to vent my sarcastic sense of humour, a skill you can only be born with in Scotland. Even then it can take decades to learn & master. Sadly I was cursed with two children who were out sarcasting adults by the time they were six. When my daughter went to grammar school she was only eleven & she went to her first history class. The teacher was asking the children some easy questions to see what their historical knowledge was like & after a few questions where my daughter had raised her arm & submitted an answer he eventually looked at her & said "I don't need to ask who your father is do I? When he was in my class in 1977 he was the class clown & I could never get the last word in with him & he would be distracted because he was finished his work first & it was all correct. If you asked him to read out one of his answers he would end up doing a fifteen minute stand up routine which came back to the beginning again eventually when he noticed that I had had enough, he said he could leave me talking to the class for the whole lesson if he thought he would have got away with it. I did the same in my english class. My 3rd Yr teacher was in college with Eugene Reynolds of the Rezillos & I was smoking **** with my 4th year teacher the week after I left school at fifteen.

You are not the only one. I was beginning to think this was more homophobic racism against this particular gay Scotsman? I was not soothed when I heard about Jimmy kimmel being cancelled, given that I have been the reigning champion of most sarcastic man in Scotland for 55yrs running, since I was 8yrs old. I am well used to being a target for the english due to jealousy, they wish they had been educated in Scotland, but now America has joined in & blocked me from the comments section of AOL which I have been using since 1992.
This has never happened to me before, I usually get banned from any forum I contribute to eventually, just stopping me even seeing the comments of others is a cruel & sneaky trick to play on me. Now where did I put my megaphone & soapbox?MORRIS SHAW

True, just look at the last 24hrs, Jimmy kimmel has been axed from American screens for showing a clip about trump talking about his ballroom when he was specifically asked a question about Charlie kirk, and that gets him fired? I had already seen the exact same clip on various news channels and YouTube videos before kimmel even aired on Monday night, but the head of the FCC claimed it was the most despicable thing he had ever seen! What a hypocrite, I watched him speak about how his role was to protect free speech before trump came back in office. Providing what a spineless man he is.
The guys who projected. The image of trump & epstein onto Windsor castle were arrested on some "trumped" up charge of malicious content. A picture of two clothed men which I have seen a thousand times this year, if they are guilty of anything it is not getting permission from the local council. I don't recall anyone being arrested for projecting a naked image of a woman onto Westminster to publicise a lads magazine for the uneducated english male in the 90s?
I haven't been able to comment on any topic on here for a month due to censorship, I can see the link to the comment section on stories but click on it? I get a blank screen. The American right is now claiming that the mere action of repeating, quoting or replaying any of kirks words is a criminal act & hate speech, against a dead man! You can't be showing kirks years of words & racist, homophobic comments for the world who has no idea who he was, to show who he was as America lowered flags in his memory, this was a man who called for Joe Biden to be assassinated while he was in office. Karma is a wonderful thing.
Personally I believe that he was shot for demanding that the epstein files be released. In the eyes of the shooter kirk had betrayed trump & had to die, will this ever be voiced publicly in America? Even as a theory? You can bet your life it won't.
I have a brother who lives in Florida with his trans husband & I worry about them every day. I won't even go into trump's fake attempt which saw him shot in the ear. A wound that miraculously healed up without leaving a single trace of his supposed injury. In fact I wouldn't put it past the likes of vance & Miller to have had a hand in the kirk shooting, you know that trump won't live out his term & the plan is for vance & Miller to create their own dynasty of uneducated Americans. Watch the film Idiocracy which was made 20 years ago. It portrays the kind of America that the right dreams about.

I didn't read your comments as I noticed that you mentioned 1775 & I immediately assumed you were American, I see that you are not, but I was just going to throw my superior Scottish education into the ring with regards to the recent changes to the comments section of the news pages. It has now disappeared entirely from my screen this week? First time I have heard of this happening in the 33yrs that I have been using AOL, 1992, I still use my email address from back then as my email address for everything official .
The censoring on this place has got so bad that it is driving people away from the format & back to the world of the conspiracy theorists & the real fake news creators, judging by the current trend of closing all comments after they failed to completely block the world opinion about the orange fat man.
We will need to wait & see who wins the civil war that's just about to start in America any day now after XI didn't invite him to the party with putin, Kim Jong & mhodi, where they were overheard talking about living till they were 150.MORRIS SHAW

I would be interested to read that story as I am a disabled 63yr old man who has just gone through the process of being moved onto Universal Credit which I had thought came about because I have recently moved to a ground floor flat from the one I had lived in for eight years, the last five as a virtual prisoner after I broke my hip.
I am an intelligent man but it still took two weeks & a lengthy back & forth with a woman who claimed to be from my local jobcentre, so the conversation got increasingly sarcastic from my end over the few days it took until I noticed that I had a payment made into my account.
From my dealings with this system it is obviously new as the parts I had to access & even communicate through are all marked as beta at the top of the screen. I couldn't get it to verify my identity online & ended up having to go for an interview in person.
Subsequently I have received a phone call from the local council about the credit in. My account for my previous flat & asking me if I wanted it paid into my account or have a cheque sent to me. I got a cheque from my previous power supplier in April when I moved out & didn't get to a bank until the end of August. I ended up emailing a screen shot of my bank statement & my account is now £231 richer because of it. That has been my experience of being a disabled man of 63 dealing with the DWP in 2025 under the Labour Party, who I don't vote for, I don't vote tory or libdem either, never have, never will. Been voting the same way since 1979 when I first voted. I've supported the same party since I was a. Five year old & saw Winnie Ewing win the Hamilton bye election in 1967. First met her & had lunch with her when I was 19 & introduced my children to her more than a decade later, she was arguing politics with my uncle who was manning the stall for the local radio station at the Highland games, my uncle & I were directors at the time. My daughter went on to meet her again in 2014. Don't know if my son has met her before she died but he has been living with the daughter of an MSP who is a member of the same party for the last five years?MORRIS SHAW
