Cant retrieve old email from trash
Please let me determine when I want to permanently delete email. I just learned that emails are automatically deleted after a week. When I do a search in trash, all I get is a long list of "me" emails. There are times when I truly need an old email. Your cat assoc. suggested that I save all my emails in a folder. That's not efficient.

Views
Provide a way to DELETE the "Views' folder. It opens up expanded taking up 6 lines and is of no use. Currently it can't be modified or deleted.

On Desktop Gold, when trying to write an email, there are no longer manageable margins. in other words, when typing a line in an email, it keeps going beyond the margins of the email, and when one hits "enter" to go to the next line, one loses sight of the cursor completely, with no means of scrolling to the left. There is no justification whatsoever.

Automatic open
AOL now automatically opens the next email. This is dangerous, as it could be spam, etc. We need a way to turn this off, or I am off AOL for good.

I just talked to tech support to untangle a problem with email i had put on my block list a couple of addresses by mistake and wanted to unblock those addresses tech support walked me though it and had to use another browser to unblock because AOL is in the process of updating their software to make things easier why not update everything all at once? is should be when i need to untangle a mess i could untangle it through AOL and not going the round about way that i didn't know of Norman Kivari member since 1995

Delete key doesn't delete the email I want deleted. Make it work!
Make the "delete" key on my list of emails, WORK!!!!! Now what it does when I click "delete" is bring up the email I wanted to delete. I don't like this at all. I want the delete key to delete the email I don't want to see!!!!

I have used AOL Desktop Gold since it started. Up until September 20th. when a new e-mail was delivered to me, it would automatically appear in my NEW folder, which I always keep open on my screen. Now, I hear the sound notification of a new e-mail, but it does not show up in my NEW folder like always. Now I have to refresh the folder, an extra step. How will I know that THERE IS a new e-mail? What if I can't hear the sound notification or have my sound muted? This has only started since a AOL Software…
