On Desktop Gold, when trying to write an email, there are no longer manageable margins. in other words, when typing a line in an email, it keeps going beyond the margins of the email, and when one hits "enter" to go to the next line, one loses sight of the cursor completely, with no means of scrolling to the left. There is no justification whatsoever.
When I spoke to tech support, they are clueless, saying one must go to full page size to write an email. That is not workable.

Also, the latest update appears to count words. that is not something most users need or require and should be eliminated.

I have been a Desktop gold user for decades. This will cause me to unsubscribe. Please respond asap. thank you.

    The fonts and the email compose toolbar are huge and need to be fixed. I keep expanding in order to see all the prompts,
    it is frustrated.

    Do I have to go to another system to WRITE MAIL?
    I have been with AOL since Day ONE before 2000 & this last up-date made writing mail a PAIN. All my MAIL SCREENS ARE TOO BIG!
    PLEASE CORRECT THAT LAST up-date to the way it WAS!
    When I used to Bata Test for AOL... Today is a BIG DISSAPOINTMENT

    This up-date I did on September 11, 2023 has messed-up BIG TIME!
    Going to FULL SCREEN to WRITE & READ my mail is a PAIN in the butt.
    I'm glad my Old Reliable Win7 still keeps me CLAM... Eliminate that LAST UP-DATE... PLEASE

    These new changes make writing emails inefficient. There is no way to set margins. The text runs off of the page and when one hits return, it does not return to the left margin. How is this fixable? Someone must know. AOL tech support has no solution, other than to use full page to write all emails, which does not work in all cases.

    this new change in the update are totally not needed and must be reversed asap.
