How about ancient geniuses?
Re: Article on ancient undeciphered objects
We humans have a tendency to assume that we are the smartest and most talented beings that have walked the Earth. I am not alluding to ETs or supernatural beings having been here. The human brain has certainly evolved, but there is not anthropological; evidence that there was ever a step-function growth in intelligence. In fact, recent discoveries indicate that even the Neanderthal race was quite intelligent. The modern brain appears to be quite old.
We are also sure that some very exquisite mechanical knowledge in navigation has been lost. Certainly, building arts and architecture were far more advanced than recorded material science of ancient times.
For that matter, even materials science has been lost.
Imagine a society of 10,000 BCE with the likes of Edison, Einstein, Bohr and Hawking. They would certainly not have sat dumbly ******* stones and eating animals which died naturally. Throw in a Pope John or two and a Constantine and who knows, Revelations.
