  1. EMAIL ADDRESSES AND GROUPS - WHERE DID THEY GO & WHY??????

    SOMEHOW OR ANOTHER, SOMEONE DECIDED THAT GETTING RID OF SOME OF MY EMAIL ADDRESSES & GROUPS WAS A GOOD IDEA - WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS. i WANT MY EMAIL ADDRESSES AND GROUPS THAT WERE SO RUDELY DELETED BACK IN MY MAIL.... THANKS, TOM

  2. Unable to Open a .png file attachment

    I was sent 2 emails with attachment of .png. file and I was not able to open or read the attachments or files even with Icy remote sharing my computer.

  3. Just a heads up, that show images and enable links in email?

    I am able to click links and have pages open without clicking that link, good thing it's emails I've been expecting, hopefully no one accidentally clicks something assuming it won't open and take them to a bad site or anything.

    i discovered this by accident myself when I clicked in a blank space to scroll but instead the website opened. I've done it 4 times since, so it's not just a one time fluke.

  4. email pictures disappearing from email before I send it

    I write emails, embedding pictures. Long emails, that may take me an hour or two to complete. By the time i am ready to send them, some of the pictures have disappeared. I have to send the email to myself, add the pictures again, before forwarding it to the recipient..... Problem?

  6. All of the below comments regarding the recent changes are valid.

    All of the recent complaints about spam filters and the direction of email are valid. Everyone tells me I am an idiot for paying $39 per month for this type of idiotic file management. Please restore normal operating parameters. I do NOT need all my current mail to be defaulted to the Saved Folder before I can read it. When I sign in, I should be able to immediately read today's email. I should not have to take the extra steps of going to the saved folder. If I delete the Save Folder, will that cure the problem, or only…

  8. just sent 3 more emails from my phone did not receive a one

    nothing in spam wanted to save pics of my sons graduation to my pc, but looks like aol is screwing with mail again... made a purchase on ebay last night no email confirming payment, no receipt, requested money be sent to my paypal at 1 am... Never got that email! Requested support from a website 2 days ago never got the instant automated email, no idea if anyone even attempted to assist me, because if they replied to my ticket I NEVER GOT IT!

  10. I keep checking but none of my missing emails have come through...

    Is there someone out there playing God with emails? Why is only junk getting through, thankfully not all that much as compared to normal, but where's my PayPal confirmations? Where's the pics from my sons' graduation? Where's my support tickets? Where's the response from several of the agencies I've contacted? Who decides what emails I can receive, because it certainly seems like someone is doing something to stop these things...

  12. Listen to your customers

    AOL has to start listening to its customers--or leave the business. If they don't, their customers will leave it anyway. Technicians are just running hog wild--introducing new networks, making changes in existing ones without taking into consideration whether their customers want them or if it will harm their customers. Case in point: why upgrade your network and remove security filters (i.e. restricting mail to people I know). Now, all spam enters my inbox--and anything reported as spam cannot be retrieved if inadvertently deleted. This is just crazy. I've never, ever seen a company like this one. Never!

  15. I am American and now working internationally, based in UK. Why can't I get access to Gold?

    My account has been totally screwed up of late. I can't search any of my online emails, new, old, saved, sent, etc. That is a huge problem since I have had an AOL account continuously since 1992!

    2 weeks ago ALL of my new emails just vanished, no where to be found. What is weird is ALL 3100 of them are still showing as new, but only 30 are visible from last 2 weeks.

    I am desperate to get this fixed and would even consider using Gold to retrieve them and be able to store everything on my laptop. But…

  16. I have been using group email for my classes for years and now it seems you are not allowing me to do that!!

    you are preventing me from using my group emails that I have done for years to send info on my classes, this is a private group of people who want to be in it.
    And often, my addresses seem to disappear!! this sucks

  17. "Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't seem to be an option

    In several other posts re "Spam," you suggest:

    "We recommend setting up a content filter in order to block mail containing specific words and phrases. To do this in AOL Desktop Gold, please follow these steps:

    1. Click “Mail” at the top left.
    2. Select “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu.
    3. Check the “Block mail containing specific words and phrases” option.
    4. Add postmaster-relay the in the box below.
    5. Click Save at the bottom."

    The problem is--"Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't appear to be an option anymore! Where did it go?

    I am using AOL Desktop Gold Revision 11.0.2007.…

  18. Can't get rid of spam number

    Not only am I still getting a lot of spam, which I keep deleting, but it STILL says I have 5 items DESPITE the FACT that I have already deleted them. What is wrong with AOL? I don't need this aggravation...I'm going to have to go if you can't return 'Gold" to some semblance of 9.2, which I never had problems with!

  19. Please bring back the copy and paste ability in the address boxes

    Copying and pasting addresses in the address boxes. Also please allow for editing. It is ridiculous to ave to erase an entire address since the ability to edit is no longer in existence.

  20. BCC RECIPIENTS NO LONGER SHOWING UP + GETTING ERROR MESSAGE WHEN TRYING TO SEND

    As of today, the BCC recipient address no longer show; I have to click on the Details link for a window to pop up which is a bothersome extra step. What happened??? Also, when I try to send the same list of recipients, an error message no pops us, "Mail failed to send due to error", but it doesn't say WHAT IT'S DUE TO OR HOW TO FIX IT. ASAP PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!
