  3. The constant changes are clearly deleting many good features. If it is already available and it is used, why change it. More options needed

    I want to access all mail like the past, page by page. I need to research previous responses constantly.

  4. How can I disable the new auto bulleting feature? Whether I use numbers or dashes, auto indent with bullets pops up. Grrr! Hate it!

    How can I disable your new auto bulleting? I want to organize my emails my way, not how some AOL person thinks is good. Quit messing with stuff.

    How can I "unblock" incoming Walmart email on AOL Desktop Gold?

    If an email has been detected or manually marked as SPAM, you should see that email in your spam folder. You can then move that email to the inbox of any other mail folder you choose.

  7. Why, when I click permanently delete on spam folder items, do they go to the recently deleted area instead of deleting them permanently?

    Why, when I click permanently delete on spam folder items, do they go to the recently deleted folder instead of deleting them permanently? The box says they will be deleted permanently and asks again if I'm sure I want to do that. I click yes but they end up in my recently deleted. If it's in the spam folder and I click to permanently delete it then that's what should happen. It used to be that way and was wonderful.

    1. Open Settings
    2. Click Mail (in the left column)
    3. Select the Advanced Tab
    4. Check the box: "Permanently delete mail I indicate is spam"
  8. Blocked incoming mail....HELP!

    I inadvertently marked Walmart and Humana mail as spam. Now I cant even receive mail from either which contains "verification codes" that I need to visit those sites. Is there any way to unblock those two sites from sending me email, appreciate any help, please?

    Your email from senders you had previously marked as SPAM will be in your spam folder. Look in your spam folder and click the "Not Spam" button. You may have to do this several times in order to prevent the emails from going directly to spam but they will start to go to your inbox.

  9. leave spam and recently deleted mail deleted

    why after deleting my spam folder do to 3 to 5 days before. I delete my spam and recently deleted mail everyday. recently deleted and I delete them from there only to have them appear in 3 to 4 days later and when they reappear it is for 4 or 5 days that were previously deleted. This is very annoying.

    We have investigated this issue and found that many times spam messages look very similar. This could be that multiple different messages are going to your spam folder that look similar or are identical, but from different email addresses.

    Hi there! We are sorry about the issue that you are encountering. Our suggestion would be to access our help site on: https://help.aol.com/articles/what-is-a-mailer-daemon-message-and-why-did-i-receive-one . Do make sure the recipient email address is still available or is written correctly.

  12. Unable to add multiple email addresses

    When I try to add multiple contacts into the " To" line the line moves in the content box after typing 2 contacts, and then i need to click again on the " to" line and type in another contacts, then the bar moves again

  13. Recognize your own email addresses

    I recently received an email from another AOL subscriber [diggeology@aol.com]. When I tried to respond to it, I received a "MAILER-DAEMON@aol.com" notice that "552: 1 Requested mail action aborted, mailbox not found"

    We received a lot of feedback from users that wanted to see more space for the typing area of the email when they were typing so we collapse the rest of the write mail window to accommodate that. However, if you prefer to see the CC or BCC fields all the time, you can easily turn them back on in settings -> Mail -> General, near the bottom of the window.

    This address does not allow you to add it to your blocked email list.

    In some cases, you can click on "Details" on the read mail window. This will show you the coded header files and possible display the true email address where the email came from. You can then use this email address to block mails. 

  16. Can AOL change the InBox setting with the senseless OLD MAIL

    I hope someday that AOL will realize how disastrous the OLD MAIL feature is in the IN BOX. The email drops into the OLD box and if you do not notice it, you lose the email!!! It is one of the worst settings that I have ever experienced in my 23 years of using AOL!

  17. New version 11.0.4121.0 is no longer compatible with Windows 7

    After spending more than 2 hours with live help, I was informed that the subject version no longer plays well with Windows 7 (embedded photos in mail crash the software and opening a file in desktop gold no longer works) As others have said, I like Win7 and don't like the later versions. The latest revision cuts out your Win7 users and I'm contemplating dropping my almost 30 year subscription to AOL

  18. Email address for AOL to forward fraud. That way we can alert AOL of stuff currently circulating.

    Most companies have a email account where one can forward, from their personal AOL account, to that company to report a suspected fraud email. Such as: abuse@AOL.com This would save a lot of time. PS What is user voice?

  20. Just got an email from AOL - Is it legitimate or not???

    I just got the email below (copied) it was sent by sentesi@aol.com. Is this legitimate or not??? please advise asap!
