  4. Why can I not be able to choose the font, boldness, inclination that i want and retain that choice???

    I want to be able to choose and retain the font, boldness, inclination that I prefer without having to choose it again and again every time i write an email. Even after I choose the font I want... sometimes it will revert back the one I opted out of.... PLEASE CORRECT THIS FEATURE.... A.S.A.P

    Sorry to hear that is happening. The next time you see this issue, please use the "Report a bug" option under the Help menu. This will provide us with some useful logging information to help resolve this issue.

  5. The constant changes are clearly deleting many good features. If it is already available and it is used, why change it. More options needed

    I want to access all mail like the past, page by page. I need to research previous responses constantly.

  6. Need AOL Desktop Gold Help

    Last updated to 11.1.4575 over a year ago and now it will not load or update?
    Also, cannot use new installer as it is ignored because it sees I have AOL Gold.

    How can I get my 11.1.4840 (5/5/25) update and get my program to work?

    You can use the AOL Desktop Gold OS system Tray icon (lower right-hand corner of Windows)


    Right click on the AOL Desktop Gold icon in your system tray and select the "Check for updates" command. This can sometimes take up to 5 minutes depending on your internet connection.


    Alternatively, you can uninstall AOL Desktop Gold from your Add Remove applications settings in Windows. Then install the latest version of AOL Desktop Gold.

  7. Desktop Gold Font

    aol gold freeses often. i try to reply, but the page the sender wrote doea not appear. often it blank. so I must use Chrom to replay their mail. Font size got smaller and gray scale, I had to change. All those things happened recently. Also it got very slow and sometimes does not open. I mostly use Chrom AOL. I am paying for Gold. You must fix it.

    Please use the "report a bug" option in the help menu. This will supply us with useful diagnostic information that can help determine the cause of the issue so that we can resolve it. 

  8. No longer able to save a composed email draft

    There is no longer an option to save a composed email draft??? Even when I right click, there isn't any AOL option or feature that allows me to save this draft. When I exit out of the draft, there was an automatic prompt asking if I wanted to save it. Now, there is nothing and the email just goes away.
    I can not even save it as a file!

    Additionally, when I read the comments that other users have posted about this identical problem, that issue has been been closed by AOL and voting is blocked for other AOL subscribers…

  9. How can I disable the new auto bulleting feature? Whether I use numbers or dashes, auto indent with bullets pops up. Grrr! Hate it!

    How can I disable your new auto bulleting? I want to organize my emails my way, not how some AOL person thinks is good. Quit messing with stuff.

  10. Allow AOL users to do away with the VIEWS folder (and sub-folders) in our AOL Mailbox.

    Being unable to delete the "views" folder in my AOL mailbox is a huge irritation to me.  Is there a way to do so that I'm unaware of? I really hope that it's not a matter of  AOL assuming it knows best about what its users need and want . . .

  12. aol desktop gold software not including images within email

    I am not receiving any images within my emails in 2025. What happened?? Please fix this. I need those images to come through

    It appears that AOL is investigating the issue but nothing has changed. I need images to come through in my emails.

    If an email has been detected or manually marked as SPAM, you should see that email in your spam folder. You can then move that email to the inbox of any other mail folder you choose.

  15. Why, when I click permanently delete on spam folder items, do they go to the recently deleted area instead of deleting them permanently?

    Why, when I click permanently delete on spam folder items, do they go to the recently deleted folder instead of deleting them permanently? The box says they will be deleted permanently and asks again if I'm sure I want to do that. I click yes but they end up in my recently deleted. If it's in the spam folder and I click to permanently delete it then that's what should happen. It used to be that way and was wonderful.

    1. Open Settings
    2. Click Mail (in the left column)
    3. Select the Advanced Tab
    4. Check the box: "Permanently delete mail I indicate is spam"
  16. Blocked incoming mail....HELP!

    I inadvertently marked Walmart and Humana mail as spam. Now I cant even receive mail from either which contains "verification codes" that I need to visit those sites. Is there any way to unblock those two sites from sending me email, appreciate any help, please?

    Your email from senders you had previously marked as SPAM will be in your spam folder. Look in your spam folder and click the "Not Spam" button. You may have to do this several times in order to prevent the emails from going directly to spam but they will start to go to your inbox.

  17. leave spam and recently deleted mail deleted

    why after deleting my spam folder do to 3 to 5 days before. I delete my spam and recently deleted mail everyday. recently deleted and I delete them from there only to have them appear in 3 to 4 days later and when they reappear it is for 4 or 5 days that were previously deleted. This is very annoying.

    We have investigated this issue and found that many times spam messages look very similar. This could be that multiple different messages are going to your spam folder that look similar or are identical, but from different email addresses.

  20. Unable to add multiple email addresses

    When I try to add multiple contacts into the " To" line the line moves in the content box after typing 2 contacts, and then i need to click again on the " to" line and type in another contacts, then the bar moves again
