AOL News - New (terrible) format
Your not giving the full title of an article, just a partial title followed by.......in your new format for AOL News, is a terrible idea. I will not open any article that does not clearly state what the content is. This is bad for AOL and your advertisers a well.

News items stay in order, while looking at them.
It was so great this morning that when I looked at a news items that it didn't click onto another news item while I was looking at the first one. When I went back, the original one was still there so I could look at them all in order. Now it has gone back to the old way, why?

Diabetes Application Recall
AOL editors chose to place a critical recall notice relating to the failure of a diabetes related app as 74 of 75 news items. The sudden failure could lead to death through over supply of insulin.
How could it not be the first item? Does the profit motive at AOL come before the life of its subscribers?

AOL hopelessly radical left leaning...
After being a subscriber for over 25 years, I must say I am utterly disappointed that AOL has become so LIBERAL...it is one thing to lean left, but to provide statistics based on their opinion is not worthy of them. I only wish they would get back to reporting facts and at least, try to stay neutral politically....half the country is conservative, some how they cannot accept that FACT!!

Don't expect anybody to read your news stories since you began truncating the headlines. Now no reason to click.
Go back to the old style. Make the headlines complete sentences so readers know what the story is about. I'm not going to waste my time clicking on stories now that you've truncated the headlines.

news bad idea in search box
I have no interest in you adding news to the search box. Please remove it. I was on the phone for an hour with 2 support techs who tried to remove this unwanted news. It is very uncalled for to try and make some one read **** they are not interested in

If an article is a made up story and not truthful reporting of an event, then it should be labeled as fiction!
Any articles you publish that are fictitious should be so labeled! Your subscribers need to be able to rely on AOL.com being truthful at all times.

Pause automatic advancement of news items.
For many years, once you started advancing news items, the automatic advance of news items stopped. Now, I have been told by AOL Assist, that per software changes by AOL automatic advance of new items is always on. This means that, once I select and read an article, the news items have advanced several stories past it, meaning that I have to manually backspace to get back to the next item after the one I was reading. Why are you making this harder to do, please change back to a more user friendly application.

Newsfeed photos
Please go back to the photo style as in the past. These enlarged photos are not something that works. They do nothing for me. The earlier version at least gives some additional views the related topics. If I want large photos I will increase the size myself. Whomever came up with the idea of increasing the size probably never gave it much thought in relation to the news stories. Bring back the previous version!

"Comments" section on AOL posted news articles
After reading an article accessed by clicking on the "Welcome" tab on AOL Gold Desktop, there is a "Comments" tab which gives you access to comments other people have made and you can make comments yourself. Occasionally, the user may make a comment that might be prohibited e.g. the use of a profanity word e.g. a comment like "That was a **** of a stupid thing to do"
So, a message will pop up that tells you that your comment is under review. That usually means your comment has been flagged by whatever algorithm AOL uses for such things. However,… -
Improve you news & update it
Your news articles/reviews seem to run for ever & many are pure garage. The interview on "best before dates" has run its course weeks age , take it off & not interesting in the least. Why not try & improving AOL's name by posting better articles/reviews, your news is boring. It makes me want to get rid of my AOL acct.

Fact check stories for new information, rather than repeat the original narrative.
AOL sometimes runs a story, based on media narrative, but leaves out facts learned after the event, which show the story was fabricated. ...then continue to running the story but discontinue comments. ...case in point, the article on George Floyd's actual cause of death is not given, while promoting the police brutality narrative. Not only was the cause of his death by police in question, but unfair to police rank and file, by lowering morale, making recruitment more difficult and emboldening criminals.....is this a direction we want to go?

Headlines a flat out lie
Headline old thing of value, showing corning ware which I own, so I wanted to see what AOL say about this item, so I looked at all 200. NO corning ware anywhere, are you just stupid or you just want to **** off your customers. I dare you to explain why you let this happen
