I see others with the same problem. It's impossible to compose an email on my phone. The cursor jumps to another place and time.
Since it's impossible to compose an email, I forward to another account. After more than 30 years, it might be time to truly relegate my AOL account to a place for junk mail .

Hi. This issue is currently under investigation by our team and we hope to have a fix in a new update to the AOL app. In the meantime, I would suggest using a different keyboard than the one you have, such as GBoard (Google keyboard) or Microsoft SwiftKey. We appreciate your cooperation!

The new email function that came in with the latest Android update is fatally flawed. In particular, replies to emails that are part of a string are IMPOSSIBLE to draft. The cursor keeps hopping down to the bottom of the string (!?), and those vertical lines that keep proliferating at the left of the screen push the text further and further to the right....It's maddening. PLEASE bring back the old format, or correct the new one....and fire whoever thought it up!

To fix the jumping cursor, AOL customer support said to delete the app and reinstall. I did, and it didn't fix it.
Maddening. Help, please. I don't want to leave AOL after 35 years. -

I note that the computer version has the same lines, but there they don't crowd out the text, or flip the screen to the bottom every few keystrokes. FIX IT...NOW!
