Typing emails is really slow
I seem to have an issue, when typing an email the phone slows right down and takes several seconds before the letter I’ve typed appears. It’s not my phone, as I now have to type emails in my notes and copy and paste. And I have no issues on this where I’m typing it’s purely on my email. I have a iPhone 6.
I have a couple of troubleshooting steps for you that should resolve this issue:
1. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
2. Restart your mobile device
3. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
4. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data
After you’ve performed these steps, should you still encounter this issue, please reach out to our support team at aolmailquestions@aol.com.

When forwarding or replying from app on iPhone 7, suddenly three days ago the subject field is not populated with words but rather the two word phrase in single quotes of “no subject”. The prefix does say FWD. only the app is imperfect in this way as my browser of Safari did the email transactions perfectly with all fields correct. The reply function also has no subject words but rather that two words placeholder.

Bug, bug, bug!
Many times now, I’ve spent many minutes composing a new email only to have it disappear.
Once, it vanished while swiping up to scroll down thru the message being composed.
I don’t know what I touched to cause it.
Over the days, this has caused my to lose valuable time re-typing the message using my iPad mail app.
VERY FRUSTRATING.
I have ceased using the AOL app for that purpose. -

AOL is difficult and gimmicky. Used to be a reputable email service with news. Technical difficulties are junky!

When typing the screen slows down or it starts going backwards erasing everything I’ve typed. I have to save as draft then come back and retype all.
I’ve taken off the automatic signature and it keeps coming back.
Yesterday I had to log in at least three times even though I was already logged in which I don’t have to do every time anyway. This morning AOL wouldn’t even come up. Dark screen. Turned off iPad off and in and it was back.
If it wasn’t because it’s a hassle and royal pain to let everyone know and change we would have moved our main email address to another system months ago. Still thinking about it more and more though.
Once again . . . thanks Verizon for nothing!
