ADS
I have been an AOL customer for a long time. I am tired of all the ADS. I cannot even browse without an AD interfering with my searches. Get rid of your ADS or maybe it is time for me to get rid of AOL.

Stop allowing paying advertisers from making ads appear like news stories - and for God sake, read what you people put out - unbelievable errors in spelling, syntax....your writers write like every story is about Hollywood...how about getting some real talent in your newsroom instead of Jr. High grads that pump out the **** you put on AOL.

I need for AOL to update my welcome page. I live in the City Of West Palm Beach FL. For some reason everything ads and other references shows the city of Lake Worth FL. I do not live in Lake Worth FL. I have asked for this to be rectified in the past with no success from AOL. I have the correct city for weather, but everything else still comes up Lake Worth. Ever since Gold was forced on AOL members things don't go as they should. I want everything pertaining to Lake Worth FL removed/deleted.

AOL was once a 100% pay to use service, but odds are you are probably getting it for free these days. They added the ads as a consequence of providing free services to their users. So I am guessing, they are not too likely to switch any time soon. Do you really think threatening to leave is going to ruffle a single feather in their caps? Get real. Besides, if the ads are so inconvenient to you, do what most other users long ago did and install and ad blocker.

You need to write better, lesser redundant, and more intelligent, and stop writing a story with its entire history about a subject, it's utterly stupid. Ads cover up the photos, cannot find the real story, too many ads over the stories and photos, can't see what you're talking about in the subject ruins the entire concept of AOL news stories. Most of it is fake news also. REAL fake. Not Trump-fake. It's a completely turn off if there is a slide show with one sentence per photo just to get us to see y our stupid ads again which flash everywhere like light bulbs in our face! I click out of it on the FIRST photo in a slide show. I am leaving AOL for all of these reasons. PLUS the email system has changed for the worst. The least your company could do is leave your email system alone but you really did ruin it. I've been with you since 1992 and I have completely blown my stack about the increased ads - yet we are paying for this garbage? AOL used to BE better than any other email program. You have ruined all of it for ALL of us. TAKE AWAY YOUR ADS AND DISGUSTING STUPID NEWS SLIDE SHOWS.

I have been with AOL for more than 20 years but the "News" items you post are so often clickbait from other people's blogs, or just plain ads.
What does AOL have to offer anyone after all of these years? The quality of your "News" has gone down to nill.

Get rid of the ads on your page. I can't see what I am looking for with the ads taking up most of the page. Look at all the other postings about this issue. Listen to your subscribers and remove them.

Enough already with "Boredom Therapy"; "The Cheat Sheet" et al. After a few times on any of these sites it is obvious it is nothing more than ad attack hoping we will click on some inane third rate sponsor. Now, when I see a tag line on a subject, I refuse to even click to see it.
I bet I'm not alone. What's the point of taking up space if just irritates people? -

Its impossible to read a headline now. The incessant constant click bait fouls my machine up for ages even with 8gb of fast memory. The headlines are totally misleading and in some cases just downright untruthful. The ugly sister the Huffington post has now become home to disgruntled Gnardiu readers who wouldnt chip in a fiver to keep Owen the man child Jones in male tampons or Polly Toynbee in Ferraris to the extent that it is now like reading the course notes from a common purpose lesson or Comrade Coryn's Mien Kampf. I ditched talktalk ages ago - its pity America On Line wasnt culled instead of being absorbed.
