ADS
I have been an AOL customer for a long time. I am tired of all the ADS. I cannot even browse without an AD interfering with my searches. Get rid of your ADS or maybe it is time for me to get rid of AOL.

When is AOL going to STOP flooding the site with paid advertising and start doing something to make using the site less cumbersome to navigate?? I've noticed it takes longer now than ever before to get to and go through emails because of all the advertising that gets down loaded at the same time you are trying to open your emails. The real goal is for you to click on the advertising or view it. I believe AOL is deliberately slowing down the time it takes to open each individual email so that each user will spend time looking at the ads which do nothing other than distract a user from viewing his/her emails. Who wants to PAY AOL for not seeing these ads?? Not me! Oath will continue to lose AOL and Yahoo customers until Verizon decides to dump both of them just like Time Warner did when it dumped AOL and sold it to Verizon! Verizon, Oath, will find out how much its customers like what they are doing as they lose them by the thousands every month.

It is very difficult to read one story when after every few sentences I have to click to the next page. What kind of format is that??? Nobody likes to do that. I usually just don't read the story at all when I have to go through that. It means not only does the story not get read, but the ads aren't being seen either. This format does not work. It's excruciatingly irritating.

I understand that running advertisements are, in some cases, necessary to help with the costs of operating a Website. That said I have 2 thoughts, first and most importantly offer your subscribers the option of opting out of most or all ads for a subscription fee, you might be surprised at the numbers of people willing to pay. Second, be more active in screening the advertisements you allow on AOL, some are not only offensive, but are out and out cons.

Advertising should work under a timer control of some how since a constantly popping up ads it does causing me a substantial delaysjust waiting for the screen to green light me in orderto continuing reading all the emails I receive daily. So, to spread all those ads frecuency I will sugesting some timer control feature on the AOL Platform itself as a gate valve in order to reduce such ads frecuencies toward client end. Happy Holidays Season!!!

Lately, AOL-linked pages often jump around as they're loading in ways apparently designed to cause the user to click an ad when attempting to click on something else (such as "next page"). I've used AOL since 1994, but will quit if you keep us this deceptive ****!

Your ridiculous pop up ads and promos make it IMPOSSIBLE to read your news stories. AOL is losing users like me because of these cheap tricks to get us to view your ads. Do the advertisers know the reverse effect this is having on their ads? I'd never use one of their products with these programming interventions.

Quit all the ads - can't read any story without interference. If it were in print, I could have read it by the time I got to your second page. Some of your ads are offensive; partnering with Yahoo has made it twice as bad. Your website is AWFUL. Your auto sound bytes are annoying. Next page model is the personification of frustration. Long running scripts make all of it very difficult. Perhaps you should try a simpler model to make it useful.

Stop referencing Sites like Trendchaser. I literally could not read their (multi-page) article because video ads would pop up and block their content. It finally ended, but then started again before I could finish that page.

Ads are ruining viewing experience. . Will not return to this site ever again. Why not put the ads at the bottom and only show after a viewer scrolls and clicks to read an article before coming back to the main page. I can only read the articles title and see the image. If I click on the article, forget about it, I'm in eternal loading zone. Horrendous! Such a waste of time. You realize you lose a viewer each time the darn ads block the viewers scrolling. This won't change though, so I just wasted even more time. Useless;this feedback nonsense.

Do not block the story with adds. Have the adds not be a pop-up.

keep the ads to the side of the text, don't cover the text.

Reduce the repetition of news items and cut back on the number from 72 to 50. The interruption of ads in your news make it impossible to follow the stories anyway, but this would help. I really don't read your news much now because it is so laborious to do so.
