I have no idea but I did have a question...
I think 15 minutes is long enough to wait for someone to help you when you ask a definitive question. Am beginning to reconsider AOL. Maybe "too big for your britches???"

Need an expert to chat with, not someone I can't understand & they can't understand what I'm asking

I've called at least 5 times on this. I cannot sign in when I type in my PW. No one seems to be able to fix the problems except for signing in once or twice AFTER they say it's fixed... I want to type in my PW>>>>>
Also, when I ask for Chat, I have to wait for a long time before someone answers

Worst service I have EVER experienced! I have had my email account for a minimum of 10 years. I recently got a notification that my account had been found on the dark web, and sure enough I can no longer sign in, or change my password online. I got a notification that I had to call. So I did... when a hacker gets a hold of your accounts, one of the first things they do is change the name.. COMMON SENSE! So instead of trying to verify me any different way ( current emails, registered recovery phone number / email.. etc like most other companies) I was just told “sorry, I can’t help you.” I even tried to explain that most of my personal accounts (Amazon, bills, credit cards) are set up to that account, so now the hacker will have access to all of my personal information, but the personal assisting me didn’t seem to care at all... Good to know that AOL will protect the hacker instead of trying to help someone that has used there services for OVER 10 years! This is the absolute WORST customer experience. Oh, and below it asks for my email address. Don’t try emailing me because I won’t get it.. the person who ILLEGALLY gained access to my account and is being protected by your customer service rep will get the email instead.. good job AOL!
*edit-
I can even confirm this account is mine by showing a screen shot from an email back in 2016... if you even care AOL.. -

Get more help for chat area. It is no good to anyone if no one ever comes on the line

I was trying to sync a family member’s iCalendar into my AOL Calendar. It would sync, but would not update. The tech’s response is I need to delete it and add it every day or multiple times a day to get it to update. He would not elevate the issue to a superior or tech support. This is completely unacceptable.

I do not have an idea but have been trying by phone and computer help to contact about changing my checking account number as I am trying to change from one bank to another and am trying to avoid possible overdraft fees. I have been on hold and after many minutes received the large volume of call messages and was disconnected or just plain disconnected after many minutes on hold. I tried live computer help and was on hold for almost 10 minutes and no one came on line. I have had AOL for over 20 years and with my recent life changes AOL may be next.

I sat on Hold for 25 minutes to get "Help". When an agent FINALLY answered ( I was on Chat maybe that was my first mistake?) the agent told me he was sending me an email.
I think I could have gotten that Same result without waiting 25 minutes to be answered!!
When I tried to ask the agent another question he told me he couldn't help me. RUDE and
ZERO "Help"!! The reply in their "How am I doing email" was Short and to the point.
" Zero Help and Thanks for Nothing!" -

today it was obvious that you had trouble with the continuity of aol. So maybe it would be nice if you had a general voicemail saying you have a problem and you are working on it .This would eliminate waiting on the phone for a rep. that is never going to answer.
thanks

I called the help # to report a suspicious email threatening to block my aol. I chose option 5, was on hold with music for 3-4 minutes, the music stopped, I expected to talk to a person and after about 30 seconds of silence the call was automatically disconnected

Well.....I think it was about noon when I posted my remark. As you can see, it says, "Your idea is being processed and will appear shortly" AND it is now about 5:30 pm. So you can see what kind of service you receive from AOL. Just FYI.
