1. The stuff from universalinfonet.com is offensive

   At least 60%, in my opinion, of stories or articles shown daily are garbage and one in particular is offensive. Universalinfonet. com posts obscene and offensive content. Today, 72 year old grandmother gives birth. There have been worse ones in the past.

3. I will not change my password **** near daily, each time I use a different computer. STOP IT

   EACH TIME I sign in I am asked for a code so you can verify who I am. Then, after I get the code and post the code, you then want a new AOL password. I have changed it already several times this month and am sick of it! And it happens each time I sign in and each time I switch computers. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?

4. I have been with AOL ever since I returned to the USA from on overseas assignment. I have had AOL Desktop Gold for most of that time.

   To: AOL

   It appears that my AOL Desktop Gold has been altered or corrupted.

   For the past several months – and it appears to be worsening – whenever I sign onto AOL Desktop Gold, there is a waiting period before it connects to the internet. After a minute of so, I hear the message “Welcome”, and then another wait. Rather than wait, I often go to another program – Word, Excel, Google – and work on something else. After a few minutes more, I hear the message “You’ve got mail”, but still nothing on the screen for another several minutes if at all.

   I have found out that if I exit everything I had been working on and restart my computer, I can then click on the AOL icon and it will come up sooner – perhaps as early as a few seconds – when I can then use AOL as I would expect to use it – read my emails, read the “Welcome” messages, and perhaps make a different connection if I know its URL. When I close or signoff of AOL, the same process starts again or if I wish to sign back onto AOL for another session or purpose. That is frustrating !!

   Can I re-download the AOL Desktop Gold software to correct this situation?

   For some sites, I am required to enter a code sent to me at some address so that I can proceed with the program or site – 2-Factor Authentication. I do not use my cell phone for this purpose, yet that seems to be the preferred method for sending such a code, but I prefer to use my email address. I don’t often have my cell phone by my side, and my home phone is a landline which does not accept text messages. If I am not on AOL and try to access my email to receive the code, I must go through the waiting process to get signed on, and by the time that happens, the “code” will have expired. Again, frustrating.

   I have been with AOL for several years. How can I get this situation corrected such that I make connection as soon as I click on the AOL icon on my task bar or the desktop? This sign-back-on situation occurs regardless which icon I click.

5. Low quality news articles and trashy ads

   In the past several months, AOL posts poor quality news articles as well as an increase in trashy ads from very questionable sources. Also, on cell phone, have noticed an uptick in soft **** ads sent to phone. AOL will allow abusive comments from those who post but will reject truthful, thought-provoking commentary in regard to news spots that are worthy of comment. Also, many spots from People, the New York Post, FOX news, Huffpost, and Parade that are uninteresting and silly. Will note the spots that are offensive, cheap and useless and respond with those in a latter feedback. The people who have AOL for mail and news sources deserve better.

19. AOL Stop increasing monthly rates

    I have been with aol over 20 years and refuse to pay $19.00 a month to continue with this company when I can get it for free. If it rises close to $19.00 I am done. That is way to much when you can get it for free and it is free with my internet service. I only keep AOL beacuse people jobs are on the line. But I can no longer afford it as many other people who will not be able to. Stop increasing the fee if you want people to stay.
