6. Respond to complaints of inappropriate ads and spam

   My home page is full of "news" about a region I don't live in (mid-west) and "stories" inappropriate for who I am (such as ads for plus-size clothes and pet gear--I'm short, petite, and I don't have pets). The spam I get is even worse: ads for erectile dysfunction drugs (I'm an almost-old widow) and for guns and other military equipment (whaaat???). It's disgusting and upsetting. JUST STOP.

10. What is this? Everytime I put in a URL, I get hit with ads. I've been with AOL since the early 90's, but I won't be much longer.

    Feedback on ads. What's going on? Suddenly, when I put in a URL, I get hit with an ad that I have to click out of. I've been with AOL since the early 90's, but won't be much longer if this keeps up. I hear icloud and gmail calling me! -- I'll give you a chance to get rid of this, but if you don't, I'm out of here. Typing in a URL - it's almost like giving myself a robo-call. Quit it!!

    Ginsberg may have "wished" to not be replaced until after the election, but that's a flip flop on her part, and the constitution doesn't provide for dying wishes of jurists. She also had every opportunity to retire when Obama was in office. So, scream if you wish, but Trump has every constitutional right to replace. Remember what Obama said? "I won, you lost".     I've noticed the steady decline of the proper use of the English language the past 40 years in all forms of media. I wish the "old-school" editors hadn't retired, or at least had trained their replacements properly. Maybe the blame is on the school systems that don't stress the use of actual dictionaries or thesauruses to ensure the proper usage of words and phrases. Cases in point - AOL constantly uses "media" as a singular word (it's plural for medium), AOL pluralizes words that are singular ("The BAND are, the COUPLE are - regardless of units within the word, there is only 1 "band" or "couple". Using your logic, the verbs after TEAM, ARMY, NATION should be plural? "The Team are practicing" is proper grammar? And Spell Check is a wonderful thing - when the correct synonym is used, irrespective of its correct spelling. On AOL's home page, for the past few days - " Alyssa Milano regrets having 'dawned' blackface". So she put it on at daybreak (dawn) and it occurred to her (dawned), or did she in fact DON (put on) it?
    I would expect every American grade school student to utilize the proper form of the language, and even more so every college graduate, reporter, contributor, section editor and chief editor of any news outlet. I would be ashamed to put my name on the byline of an article that becomes laughable when it's rife with these types of errors. How am I to "trust" - regardless of AOL's Liberal bias - any article posted here or anywhere else that has not even been double-checked for proper grammar, let along double-checked for the the veracity of the "news"? If it doesn't soon DAWN on AOL, the credibility of AOL's articles will steadily decline to a level worse than it is already. Typos are typos, but the steady disregard for the elementary use of the rules of the English language is now laughable to the point that I surmise a reporter knows nothing about which he reported - BECAUSE HE CAN'T EVEN SPELL. And I pay for this every month?

    Please address judicial fraud -- a pernicious phenomenon that makes judging arbitrary, judges claiming to have a self-given (in Pierson v.     While when I wrote it I surmised that the media refuses to cover judicial fraud because journalists and judges are in cahoots, I now think it may even be worse, the media seeing the judiciary not as part of the government, but as the check on it, and hence, as a benign force not needing to be scrutinized. Thus, the "government" journalists investigate is limited to the executive and the legislature. Or perhaps, journalists are at pains to help maintain public trust in judiciary, and willingly close their eyes on fraud committed by judges from the bench. Perhaps, writing about judicial fraud is such a new proposition that journalists simply don't know what to think, and refusal is simply an indication of their confusion.

    Either way, the silence of the press helps the judiciary to hide from the public the fact that it is often as abusive and corrupt as the other two branches of government can be -- and in the absence of press scrutiny has become so brazen that it justifies its practices by arguing that in Pierson v. Ray judges gave themselves the right to act from the bench "maliciously and corruptly," no less.

    Which requires complete paradigm shift in reporting -- the judiciary has to be viewed as an integral part of government, and hence, be put on the radar and investigated for the bad and illegal things it does.
