Recently I started receiving a lot of spam, some are very nasty. How can I stop this?
Stop the spam.
Hi there,
While most spam should be caught by our Spam filters, occasionally some can slip through. If that does happen it's very important to mark the email as Spam. It lets our system learn that messages from a specific place are not good and helps us make AOL Mail even better at recognizing future spam emails. Additionally, you can create filters to send specific emails to Trash, on the webmail at mail.aol.com and they will work while on the app as well. Here's how to create filters: https://help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-mail-settings

No matter how many times I designate a sender as Spam their emails continue to show up in my inbox. Your Spam filters and service are not working.

Stop spam emails. I am now cancelling my account because of the amount of spam emails I receive. Sometimes up to 50 a day. Time to go

Put the block option at top or when you swipe left or right. Should not have to scroll all the way down for each spam item to block.

Fed up with 30-40 emails every day in spam folder, some you can’t even unsubscribe when you click on them as “email address not recognised” don’t need male enhancement or such like, beyond a joke now

Should be able to blanket block spammers..aol must make a lot of money on spam since they refuse to address it.

Select mail in spam folder, including multiple addresses simultaneously, and add to blocked senders list. I’m weary of longer, harder emails. 😉

Make your filters work. They don't now. Stop emails that start with the same headers, i.e. information, newsletter, no reply, admin, etc. Even when I block a sender, I still get emails from them. I have 1000's of emails blocked currently and have to remove blocked emails because I continuously go over the 1000 blocked limit allowed by AOL. The spam/scammers have increased and something has to be done with all of the junk mail your customers are receiving from AOL/Yahoo

I get more SPAM emails every day than emails I have subscribed to or authorized. AOL has the means and knowhow to block known and/or reported email addresses and domains from ever getting into AOL customers’/users’ inboxes. AOL needs to not allow “fake” email addresses from sending these SPAM emails. I am positive that AOL can check to see if the actual email addresses emails are sent from are genuine or fraudulent, and if they are not true email addresses the emails should not be allowed to get to AOL customers’/users’ inboxes or SPAM folders, period.

AOL needs to monitor email domains and addresses that are reported as SPAM by AOL email users and block them from sending emails. This would greatly reduce SPAM emails in our inboxes and SPAM/junk folders and make AOL email users more pleased with AOL.

AOL is become the flooding area for spam. My inbox has been infested with spam and my important emails get lost. I also go to the “subscribed” section and notice I’ve been subscribed to things I havent even subscribed to so I’m led to believe AOL sells your email address. Time to say goodbye and head to something better. AOL is unreliable.

The app is back to requesting me to confirm spam and if I want to unsubscribe instead. I just want it gone. It is spam, I have option to confirm off but it doesn't matter. It had stopped asking for awhile now back to asking. Filters aren't always working when sender just keeps using different spoofed emails.
I have confirm reporting spam option turned off. Still asked if I want help Unsubscribing from the email address. IT IS SPAM. Not addressed to me but is close. Sent from bogus email address. I do not want to confirm my email address. Just want to report the spam and have the addressed added to spam. Make the option to confirm spam actually work and follow my choice. -

You need to fix the spam filters. I called AOL and they had the audacity to suggest I pay to get tech support… in order to get the mailbox to behave as it should. I set up filters to send common junk words like “McAfee” and “Shark Tank” and “Mail Order Bride” to the Junk folder… and now AOL sends TONS of my legitimate emails to junk, when they don’t AT ALL match the filter I set up. So it either does way too little, or it does what I didn’t ask it to do. This is garbage and I’ll be closing this mailbox soon.
