Allow setting to default to inbox when opening app
I use AOL app primarily for mail. Until a few days ago, the app opened directly to my inbox. Now it suddenly opens to the Home tab, and I can’t find any way to set it to my preference.

Josh, apparently they don’t care about our wishes. It’s a pain in the butt needless yo say.

I agree with the others! I use this account for email only and don’t want to see the news. Please fix this.

I agree the inbox should be the default.

Not happy about opening the app and seeing news instead of my email. Change it back to when you open the app so that email opens.

Hi. I have ADHD and I need to see my inbox on opening the mail app. This new view of all the “news” first is detrimental to my productivity. Fix it.

I’m adding my voice to all the others; I am not pleased with this change. When I click on my email app, it’s to check my email, not the news. At least give users an option to have the app default to the page we prefer. And from what I have been reading, the preference is to have it open to the inbox.

I use the AOL app for email only. Up until the most recent update, I would open the app and it’d open in email, not “news.” Now it opens in “News” and that’s a big problem. I do not wish to view your propagandist bs. Change it back to the way it was or at least make an option in the settings to allow us to open in email instead of the garbage “news.” If you’re unwilling to do this one simple request that myself and countless others are asking, then I’m gonna have to move to a different email service. Thank you.

Just adding my voice to those who object to the app change that now has the “Open App” default set to the Home page without providing a “Settings” option to change the default to Inbox. How stupid (sorry to be so blunt) must your systems analysts be to make this design change and your testing and implementation groups be to let this pass. Try letting real users do your testing next time. Please provide a “Settings” option to allow the user to pick the default open page. Thanks.

I do not use AOL for news; I use aol for my email. I need the app to open to inbox as my landing page. Perhaps create a parameter in settings to set the landing page. Please don’t make me migrate to Outlook!

I completely agree with Josh, et.al. My default is the “Home” page, and I want the default to continue to be “new mail” as my default.

If this isn’t fixed shortly I’ll delete the app forever. How dare they

AOL just changed something where now whenever I open the app, it defaults to opening the news screen. I cannot get it to default back to new mail. Done. Deleted. I won’t be forced to ingest poison.

This is an extremely irritating change. If I am checking my email while listening to Audible, it cuts off my Audible Audio. This was not a problem when the aol app used to load at the inbox tab. All I want to do is check my email and I don’t want to get harassed by this audio killing home page nonsense.
