AOL Mail is costing me hours of time I do not have by randomly putting emails I need in the trash
STOP RANDOMLY PUTTING MY EMAILS IN THE TRASH!! I don't have time to waste going through looking for the emails I need.
Hi. In most cases, this problem is caused by the incoming mail filters on your account. To verify your incoming mail filters, please go to mail.aol.com using a desktop computer/laptop, and click on Settings on the top right, then More Settings, and finally Filters. On the Filter page, review the filters that are set up to move your incoming emails to the trash folder, then edit or delete them, in order to receive your emails in your Inbox. If there's a filter that you did not create, your account might have been compromised, in which case, we strongly recommend you to secure it, here's how: https://help.aol.com/articles/recognize-a-hacked-aol-mail-account
If you're using a mobile app or program that's setup to delete email from the server, you'll need to contact the manufacturer for help. Examples include Outlook and Mac Mail.

Slow on Chrome
Within the last few weeks, AOL has been really juttering and slow on Chrome (on my 2023 Macbook Air M2). In fact, having AOL open as a tab slows down the rest of Chrome. I have gotten rid of any unnecessary Extensions (including AOL's extension) and cleared Cookies and Cache.
This is bad, AOL. What's changed??

can you explain how emails from one of my contacts ended up in my SPAM folder 6 times in 2 days?
I just went through my SPAM and found 6 emails from one of my contacts. 6 in 2 days! What is the point of adding someone to my contacts?
Please mark the emails as not spam and let us know if the issue persists afterwards.

having problems with retrieving my e-mail. unable to open New Mail. I click on New Mail and the screen just turns blank, even though the New Mail icon shows that there are a number of e-mails waiting to be opened. thank you for your attention. hope this problem is cleared up soon.

Harassing users on daily -verification code
This is using verification code to harass me- asking for verification code daily is excessive. Your f**ing email is not Fort Knox or Pentagon. Just harassing conservatives, right?

No emails loading
Not an idea; why is AOL email not loading new messages this morning? A 10:50 am email is the first I've received, today, on all platforms (iOS, Android phone and PC.) Normally I'll have 20-30 emails between midnight and and noontime.

When I sign into my account it goes to a page that says "go to mail" why the extra step? Then once in my account the SYSTEM IS VERY SLOW SNAIL SLOW this must be improved NOW!

filters
The only reason I look at my spam folder is to make sure no "legit" mail has wound up there. To make this more efficient, I have created a number of filters based on the domain names from spam messages, with the instruction to send messages from those domains to the trash. However, messages that should have been caught by these filters keep ending up in my spam folder. I want to have them bypass the spam folder, and just go directly to the trash, so that I don't have to wade through as many messages when checking to see…

What the **** is the reason you block logins when traveling and demand extra unwanted and unneeded verification.
No other email does that and it makes you the worst email service in the world .

My AOL email with password keeps being found on the dark web. Monthly. Constantly making new passwords and they are still gaining access to it. You need better security! Also - why cant we BLOCK email addresses anymore? You allow scammers to fill my inbox. Fake advertisers. Give back the ability to block senders.
Hi there. If you reached the limit of 1000 email addresses blocked, the option will no longer be available to use. The block feature is best used for people, not spam, since spammers can use spoofed accounts. Meaning what you see might not be the actual sender address. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as unwanted. Saved email is gone
Saved emails, contacts, nothing exists any longer in my AOL mail. I was looking at once again using this as a regular service, but missing email and contacts. There is not way to trust it.

stop blocking gmail
Started within last 24 hours: can't receive message from gmail senders. Gmail sender sees block message:
550 5.7.9 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated. Yahoo requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM.
