why is there so much spam
Why is there so much spam coming through? I never had this much spam with the old version of AOL before Gold. And yes, my spam filter is turned on. Please improve the spam filter.

I have been using AOL for about 32 years now and I can say it is the worst I've ever seen in those years. Now that I'm paying for this service the spam has been taken over, takes forever to load. Those slide shows news articles takes 10 minutes to tell you about something that is loaded with spam that could have been told in first page. Now keeps asking me to agree to the terms.... 10 times so far... getting sick of it. It's coming down to dropping AOL after 32 years.

Way to much, and it is obviously "true" SPAM.
Why can't you notify us of all the changes we
. expect. I have always had AOL
Truly miss the TV Schedule too. -

Not only is there way too much spam, it takes forever for the dumb ads to open. Every page has more ads than content. I have been quite happy with AOL until all this garbage stated showing up. I am thinking of finding a new browser.

I have to agree with the previous comment, I have agreed to the new terms about 35 times and yet is asks over and over again. Is there some way you can get the computer to understand I have agreed and stop asking me and slowing down my use on aol.

There should be email blocker on the email inbox where the spam/junk mail is located.,,for us to use to control the block unknown emails...

Theirs so much span on AOL Gold that one can no longer read the news stories, see the Videos to the news stories. I just tried to read a news story there were 6 ads spam covering the story. I realize that AOL/Verizon wants to make money but 99.9% of these ads are nothing i would never look at they just make me angry. I X off any that I possibly can. they use up my data which I'm sure makes Verizon happy but when it gets to the pint I can'r read my news stories I click off AOL . What amazes me is that company's pay millions to run ads the no one wants to see... In my 20 years I have never clicked on an ad in my News feed. Why have a news Feed if your customers can't read or see the video stories. its Pointless.

Spam in my AOL account is at an all time high for being a 20 plus year customer. I see no end in site nor do I see any "effective" filters available to permanently block this garbage.
The corrective fix is so easy to do. You write a learning algorithm in which the AOL customer email habits are learned and non-reported spam is accepted. High probability emails from overseas are spam. Their use is to circumnavigate around U.S. regulations and laws. Let the algorithm make the call on what the customer does on AOL.
Your competitors have solve this issue, why can't AOL-Oath??? Please stop sitting on your azzes and fix the problem!!! Their are too many free email services that your customers can go to.

EVER SINCE YOU STARTED CHARGING, AOL HAS TURNED TO ****. IF YOU'RE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE YOU GET SOME PERSON FROM INDIA WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH AND JUST SAYS "WE'RE LOOKING INTO IT"
SPAM IS COMING THROUGH EVEN WITH THE FILTER SET TO BLOCK IT.

We have blocked the characters in many ways to no avail. Their SPAM filters are not working!!
No one will answer the phone in technical support. The recorded message says to call back. Is AOL out of business ??

Block all incoming e-mails with more than 20 characters before the @ sign. The latest thing seems to be to have unique (long) addresses so they have to be removed individually by subscribers. Give users an option to filter incoming by length of address before the @. None of my contacts have these stupid random addresses.

I called technical support today to complain about SPAM ABUSE. Filters are not working and we are receiving over 100 spams a day. We pay monthly fees for AOL Gold and demand refunds if AOL is out of business. Technical support automated voice message says call back later.
They seem out of business.

I am now receiving about 100 spam bots a day. Its mainly coming from outside USA. uk.com and other foreign addresses.
Been with aol over 20 years and will probably leave. We have all filters on MAX. AOL must provide customers a way to block all unwanted senders easily with one click. I have put these addresses in the block section but it does not work. This is a joke.
