AOL Client continues to be buggy --- WHY??? AOL 9.7 worked!! What is wrong?
WHY do you keep screwing with your AOL client? It is slow and buggy as always. NEVER happened BEFORE this ****** GOLD. When AOL was owned by AOL the company it worked great. NOW it is slow and sluggish. I have to re-start my computer to fix the issue. Restarting the AOL client does nothing. Can you fix this? I have an up to date PC that I built...super fast AMD processor....8gb memory.....Win 10 latest updates. Can you please respond? I have been with AOL over 20 years. I was a beta tester for many years in Northern VA where AOL began. Thank you. ****@aol.com
To resolve the slowness and performance issues, please try the troubleshooting solutions below:
1. Clear the Footprints in the new AOL Desktop. Here’s how you clear the Footprints: a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu. b. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.
2. Restart the computer. This helps clear the internal memory (RAM), which often resolves many issues.
3. Enable only the essential startup programs. Multiple programs may have been set to start automatically when a computer is turned on. These programs may cause the computer to slow down, and affect other running applications.
In case you continue to experience performance issues, please call us at 1-888-265-3733.

Totally agree. Last few days many sites are not working as they used to in Gold. Something has seriously changed. Other browsers work just fine.

My email stopped working a couple of days ago. The new emails are listed on the email counter (now 90 emails) but the emails themselves do not display. Why is this happening?
Is this a bug? Something wrong? Needs to be fixed.

Try to get the mail system to run smooth for once,, Instead of just chocking. Aol gold must be reinstalled once a week when running windows 10.. A lot of improvements needed. Why need email below it usually won't work

I tried all of the above and they did not work. The AOL phone tech said the slow response is a KNOWN AOL problem and could offer no help. Since AOL can't get this fixed, why not contact Verizon Media and ask their engineers for assistance.
Also, why did I not receive an email that you had responded? I don't always check this link since it's more difficult to find my posts.

AOL Gold Slow to Respond on Welcome Page, Changing User Names and Closing AOL.
I tried the below AOL solutions and they do not work. This has been an issue since launching AOL Gold. My other browsers do not have these issues. Why can’t AOL get this fixed? I use Windows 10 and have been a paying customer for 19 years.

I have just acquired a new computer with Windows 10 64 bit. AOL Gold now freezes frequently. No problems with former computer. Is AOL Gold compatible with 64 bit? The computer shop have tested the computer and can find no fault. Any advice you can give me will be appreciated. I really like AOL and have used it since 1992.

Complaint:
Can somebody tell me why I am paying for AOL and it's worse than when I had it for free. It's terrible and I'm about to leave and go to Google. It's accepted at more sites than aol and doesn't take forever to load, and I don't get OOPS errors! -

Please fix the slow loading. I do not have this with others. If you cannot fix it I will be forced to move on to others that have. Sad since I have been with you since day 1

Why does it sometimes take a few extra seconds for my emails to show the body of the letter, I can see the sender and the subject but I have to wait for the content.

AOL Desktop Gold Performance has been very unsatisfactory. You are charging us for Gold that takes forever to open up or respond. Please improve it's performance or I will make a change. Thank You.
