constant audio notifications when app open even when disabled in settings
let me turn off notification audio
Thank you for reaching out. Can you please follow the steps below, to make sure the Notification Sound is Silent:
1. Open the AOL App.
2. Tap on the Settings button (Gear icon on the bottom right).
3. Tap on Notifications.
4. Tap on ‘System Notification Settings’ or Tap on the Importance level (e.g. High, Medium, Low) depending on the device you are using.
5. Under the ‘Email Received’ section, tap on your Email Address.
6. Tap on ‘Notification style’.
7. Select ‘Silent’. -

how do I delete this app. it is intrusive and unwanted. I did not installed it.

stop making the app chime for a new email. Despite notifications being turned off, why should I have to select a silent notification?
Notification sound should be silent automatically when notifications are off.
Please make sure that the notifications are turned off on your device. On your device go to Settings > Apps > AOL > Notifications.

1. Open the Google Chrome app.
2. Tap on the menu button on the top right corner (three horizontal dots).
3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
4. Tap on Site Settings.
5. Tap on Cookies.
6. Slide the cookie option ON. -

You may want to try changing your Display Name. Go to help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-mail-settings and expand Update Compose settings | Display Name. Please note that in order to perform these changes you will need to log into your account by going to mail.aol.com using a desktop computer.

1. Clear the app’s cache
2. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
3. Restart your mobile device
4. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
