it's inappropriate to continue to send me ads that I didn't ask for.. this violates my privacy
privacy violation of ads
AOL webmail is a free email service that is made possible by marketing ads. If you find the ads to be distracting, you can temporarily hide them and even give feedback on them. To do this, hover over the ad and click the "X" in the upper right corner. You'll be given the option to temporarily hide the ad or provide feedback on it. You can permanently remove ads by purchasing Ad-Free AOL Mail subscription.

stop showing the same ads over and over. stop bringing the same ad back right after it's deleted. later it's back and a few more times.

my idea is to go to the email app Signal, at least with that, you get NO EMAILS FROM ANYONE YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR FROM , I usually don't complain, but with AOL, I'm getting unsolicited email and truthfully I think I've had enough of unwanted emails. Oh, not to mention this "News" page, truly annoying.

AOL do not listen to feedback. I have given it about repetitive ads, and I mean 20 or more a day from a single company, like Canles. Every action promotes a new ad. They're even in my trash. I even contacted that company to say aols constant insertion of their ads put me off their company. They did respond but said ultimately it was AOL. If AOL think I'm going to pay to stop ads I'm not. I will keep complaining and I will keep contacting companies and telling them the same as I did Canles that I would boycott them as long as AOL kept inserting their ads. I also couldn't find the settings for my mail to check about ad blocking. This is my private and personal email and you have no right to insert ANYTHING here, do what you want on your website. You are supposed to be delivering email and that is all. I think this is an infringement of my right to privacy when you have obviously set it up so that any action I take within my private email triggers another ad. This didn't use to happen. I have other email accounts and they do not do this. I guess I will probably have to delete my account with AOL.
