Why are you assuming the took the live chat down had anything to do with offensive comments? Although there have been plenty, mostly from trumpers, that were vile and threatening to other's posting as well as one 'scrubbing' comments altogether.The reason could just because Verizon revised their online companies this October 2020 and either they neglectfully or purposefully did not put the LIVE presidency chat back or the LIVE chat after other news articles. I for one really liked the LIVE chat both in the political news section, about the presidency, and other news sections, "chat about the story". I hope they put in back soon so we can enjoy a more healthy debate. Don't ruin everyone's enjoyment for a few bad actors just take their access away.

You pay alleged news journalists who really have an axe to grind or an opinion and pass it off as the truth when it only represents a PART of the truth. All social media should be required to present both sides of eAch issue. If you have a Mossbergen alleging a divisive trump speech you should have juxtaposed to that a a Malkin article on how unifying it was. Let the “deplorable” decide who is right. Your paying customers. I have been a paying aol account holder for 30 years. What are you fearful of? You do not need to filter the truth you need to report the opposing viewpoints.
