GO BACK TO CLASSIC EMAIL
I just want classic email back. I've had it since 1995. Can't handle the change, don't mess up what already works.

Yoo hoo, AOL-- we still don't like it! Please create an alternate platform as close to the former email as possible and GIVE US A CHOICE between that and the detested new format. Pleeeeeeze!

Only part of the e-maill text appears. Printing it in full is impossible.

Why do you insult our intelligence with such cheap captions trying to attract us to LOOK. As an example you have, "Rumours are confirmed about Cliff Richards Wife" also John Travolta standing next to a guy suggsting a relationship? You really are the pits, worse than the Sun newspaper which is saying something. I feel you take your subscribers for granted and you think we are all stupid. Give us all a break and report genuine newsworthy subjects.

First off, hosting a forum in a secondary subsystem that is listed as part of aol mail, yet requires us to sign into a different service is pretty scummy.
Secondly, AOL mail, if not AOL itself is highly preferred for it's simplicity. Unlike other ISP's that slather popups, jazzy informercials and other bs 'everywhere' we like aol for the raw, undecorated, simple, and ultimately comfortable view of everything from browsing, to texting, and in this case, email. Which not only plastered advertisements all over everything to the point that some browsers nearly crash, but forces in so many options, while giving us other options as if we were a five year old child choosing our favorite color. The entire point of an e-mail client is to make e-mail itself more accessible, not get lost in countless menus trying to sort through some awkward form floating date system simply to try and find the latest emails. While the e-mail previews are actually togglable, the dates and times being listed after the email subject line are not. Instead we have to open up the emails and search through other windows to find basic info about what we've received, instead of the way it's functioned perfectly for years, for some of us... for decades. tldr If you're going to make changes, make a toggle for them. Do not force people into an idealized version of the program that they did not pay for.

I agree with Cindy above. I could do things in my old email signature that I can't in this new one. The old one worked just fine for me!!

I do not like the new mail format! It is not nearly as convenient and is missing some features that I frequently used (like searching old mail......which comes in handy in reviewing sent or received info!)

The forced implementation of the current sub standard email format is highly unprofessional, and your inability to respond to User complaints is very ignorant . How very sad that you haven't the moral fibre or courage to answer the User concerns and comments.

Change the email settings back to the way it was in May 2023 and before that. This new "standard" is absolute garbage. Is anyone reading these? GIVE US THE OPTION TO KEEP ALL OUR SETTINGS THE WAY IT WAS IN MAY 2023 AND BEFORE THAT. IS ANYONE WORKING HERE?

The answer to an earlier question is that there was a thread with about 14,000 complaints which AOL removed. The 800+ in this thread are the ones added since the 14,000 were removed. AOL & Yahoo are simply trying to be GMail, but with more flaws, more stumbling blocks, losing all the unique customization, and with ads. They have elected to give up on all the nice things we liked about AOL because they feel they can attract some kids by imitating GMail. Except they can't. So they just end up disappointing their existing base.

Adapting to the new format has been a nightmare causing me to lose important emails, and spending a lot of wasted time looking for them. Much is counterintuitive and NOTHING is improved. I'm in the process of changing over to another email service. Sorry AOL! But soon it will be history for us. As if anyone listens or cares...

Hate this new email format and wish AOL would listen to the many complaints and switch back to the classic style.
Frustrated!!!
