why do I have to get not one but 2 codes almost every time I want to access my emails

Provide a way to stop the verification step. It began when I changed routers, but now is no longer necessary. Please provide an option. Clicking the box to bypass it does not work.

I would like to use 2-step verification, but there seems to be a problem with AOL software. When I try to turn on 2-step, it confirms my cell phone number to be used (good). Then it insists on a second cell phone or e-mail. This makes no sense to me. I only have 1 cell phone, and AOL is my e-mail. Why does 2-factor verification require 3 means to contact me?

Get rid of the Verification code

Why oh why oh why do you continue to insist on a verification code every time I log on???!!! It is very very tiresome, very time consuming, and to be honest a pain in the ****!

For years I have simply gone to the AOL icon and opened my email. Lately, I have been faced with a very protracted "verification" system, at least three times in the past month, whereupon I cannot get my email without elaborately proving who I am. This last situation prompted me to call AOL/tech help which led to the most frustrating 45 minute phone call with nothing being resolved.
My question is: why does AOL prevent me from opening my email without first verifying my existence?

Warum muss ich ein 2. e-mail programm benutzen? Die Frage: sind sie das wirklich? nervt ohne Ende, was soll der Scheiss? und dann muss ich in einem anderen Programm einen Zahlencode ablesen und bei AOL eingeben... Wenn das so weitergeht, benutze ich nur noch das andere Programm! Überlegt euch was - es ging ja jahrelang auch ohne eine 2. mail adresse...

The AI generated voice on the phone call is obnoxious and goes so fast you can't type in the numbers before it hangs up. I'm sure it's super cheap to do it this way, but not really usable. Truly an obnoxious "voice." Unless you are trying to get us to NOT use a phone call, but a text.

AOL like the other Email Inboxes and servers asks the User to jump, flip over and comply to various requirements when a password was working. maybe like Good you add the test message code. But to ask for the picture of the QR Code on the user's cell phone is going to far. I have to then erase history on all browsers on the mobile device. This is an Email company not a mobile, mail, phone #. Too much for merely looking at message. Besides this... it is an illusion of security for the User. Basic, don't share sign in information with others. Don't use an unprotected wireless system for going online. And dump your junk and spam -- flag it in the system. But soon, you will be asking for my favorite ice cream? Thank you.
