    I am am also now not getting emails from two news letters that are in my contacts. I need these and they are being blocked by AOL These are not even in spam. I received them for years and suddenly I am not recieving them any more.

    Yes...the ads are obnoxious and slow my computer. I vow never ever ever to buy anything from any company advertising. These ads just make me hate those companies, hate google ads and hate verizon. So when I have a choice to not use google or verizon that is what i will do. So ugly to do this to people. Force nonsense on us. I was a paying customer and thought that would get rid of ads. Extortion...pay to not be abused. But no they continued so I canceled my paying customer account and started a gmail which i hope to move over to when i can get the help to abandon AOL.
