When downloading files
The old Desktop 'remembered' the previous location. Gold resets after every download to my 'Windows Download directory' ..
1 - LET ME set the default directory
2 - LEAVE the previous directory path alone! Don't reset unless I DO IT. -
Posting comments on AOL articles... Mouseover "like" count is now ridiculous!
AOL responds to the feedback I posted with telling me how the new hover feature works. If they would have read my comment, they would have realized, I understand its function but hate it.
Are you kidding me AOL? I told you about my experience. Did you even check out to see how annoying it is? Then you close the feedback so no one else can comment on it because you know 90+% of the feeback you are getting is entirely negative on the product. Pathetic!!!
One more bad tick mark for AOL! Lack of caring for customer experience.

AOL Gold is worse than the early versions
AOL freezes up all over the place. You have to shut down the entire program and restart it to get it to function again. I have top of the line virus protection. No viruses found. No other application I access behaves like this so I can say it is AOL. Most likely due to all the spam you allow on your sites.
Members list STILL remains unsorted. Anyone in your IT department know how to insert a simple sort and refresh into the code? They teach this in the 101 level.
Cannot add additional user/screen names? Who made that decision?…

There was Never a Notice about the changes from 9.8.2 to AOL GOLD.
Forget about fixing AOL GOLD, there is too much to repair. The LIE about Hacking for the reason to eliminate 9.8.2 is a LIE./
Just trying to get on line with AOL Gold is hard. Took close to 8 minutes to Get On Line.
Tim Armstrong and his team should be fired.
Plus I find out I have been OVER PAYING for YEARS for AOL.This is a CRIME. I am looking for Legal advise. -

You server has me doing re-start every time I go into AOL GOLD never had this before. My cable man (COX) tried the problem and was able to go into other sites no problem only yours was the problem. Fix this situation its on your end also a black box appears and goes off whats with this!! I hate what you did bring back the old AOL this is a disaster. My AOL GOLD ICON keeps on disappearing from my desk top its now six times I called AOL for myself and husband not good maybe its telling me something…

Allow me to permanently hide the folder list in emails!
I hate that every time I log into my mail I have to keep hiding the folder list! Please bring back AOL 9.8.2. It seems that since Oath (Verizon) bought AOL it has gone downhill. I used to tell people how much I love AOL and all of their extras, i.e., laptop repair, but No More!

Make "Window" drop down menu show the open AOL screens.
In AOL 9.8 the "Window" drop down menu listed each screen that was open so you could switch to a screen that might be behind other screens. The Tile or Cascade selections are a hindrance since they resize all the screens, and then you have to manually change the size back to what you want. Please make "Gold" work like the old 9.8 to list the screens in the Window drop down menu. This would keep the screen size and position where you wanted it.

Let us use either version of AOL - 9.8.2 pr GOLD - or make GOLD more friendly to use as the older version is.
No comparison between GOLD and the older version of AOL - either update GOLD or give us the option to use the older version as well as have GOLD available

AOL crashes when trying to open email - even after refreshing email
FIrst email doesnt show everything - then after refreshing email and trying to open, AOL crashes - i think Verizon is trying to get rid of AOL

AOL Gold members need a report on what's being fixed after all of these suggestions at this point.
After all this time collecting feedback, AOL Gold admins should issue a report listing what features have been fixed to date and on what is definitely going to be fixed. It is this lack of communication that caused Gold to be release a program without the essential features of the previous program. If such a report has already been issued, I never received it in my email. At least tell us where to find it!

Fix it, or NUMBER THE FAVORITES.
If you can not give us the way the FAVORITES used to be, I have an idea, NUMBER THE FAVORITES, so we can find them with their numeration, rather than going up and down every time trying to find our favorite. Give them each one a number so is going to be much faster and easier to find my favorites.

I am the secretary of my retired pilots association. I use AOL to send messages to our membership. A new guy is taking over as secretary and I need to send the address book to him.

How to improve AOL GOLD. GET RID OF IT. UPGRADE OR FIX 9.8.2. Period.! There is Not a SINGLE KUDOS for AOL GOLD. It is like a Monkey was chosen to redo 9.8.2.
