My "Comment" capability to AOL articles in the WELCOME window has been restricted, permanently deactivated and I can no longer post comments. Someone there has arbitrarily decided my comments, even my "Thank You" and support comments "inappropriate for "the community" Vindictiveness should not be a part of AOL operations in this regard.

AOL has ruined the experience of the comment or conversation sections of articles and pages. It has become so difficult to participate that I frequently give up.I do not understand what is or is not acceptable to say in those sections any more. Those who monitor these sections do not seem to follow the guidelines AOL lists as reasons for blocking posts or rejecting them. These individuals seem to focus on very low level "insults" that were written sometimes many minutes in the past while allowing racism, hate, intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, sexism, and even death threats and the like.Removing grade school level insults 15 minutes after they were written in a busy thread is a wasted effort. Please help me to understand what is acceptable to these people, that is not the same as what AOL accepts.Post monitoring has 2 main goals, teaching people what is acceptable and shielding others from what is not,the current efforts fail at both of these.

These are the types of comments coming from the unhinged letft that you are not allowing me to respond to since you've blocked my participation in the conversation. What is your justification for that? AOL is now the problem because it let's comments like this go unchecked. Shame on you:

You may want to get a new tinfoil hat, the reception you are getting seems a little foggy. It is deflecting pretty well though....... -

I like Joe, he doesn't have to say things 3 times to himself to remember what he's talking about and ramble off on different conversation because the 3 time thing didn't work for him.

How can you reject a comment at 2:10 PM and then Approve it at 2:13 PM and then reject it again at 2:36 PM??

Why is there so much censorship in comment sections of the site? Why are my posts being blocked even though they do not violate guidelines or are offensive in any way?Why are my posts sometimes blocked even when replying to posts using the same exact words? Why does AOL block grade school level insults and allow blatant racism and hate?I have just had several posts blocked for no reason I can determine.Posts are blocked or deleted well after they are written at times when neither I nor any other participants on the thread can see them. Why is there a point where you are blocked from the whole thread with no warning? Please answer with something other than a form letter.Do I need to call to get answers?

AOL even holds these comments so they can "process" them?

I have not violated any of your guidelines yet have been blocked from posting on all articles without explanation, other than it violated policy. Even asking "Why am I being censored?" got censored. Today NBC wrote a misleading headline accusing our president of encouraging voters to vote twice. Nothing in the following article supported the headline, but instead quoted the President inferring that with mass mail in ballots, people could vote twice, using ballots meant for a former resident of that address. This was a false and misleading headline. AOL not only allowed it to post, but censored most who refuted it. Isn't this illegal censorship?

Your BIASED news feed won't even allow me to comment. After 22 years I will be cancelling my plans and will use an alternate email address. Take the $6.99 and shove it.

Here's what I posted and, again, it's not being published. "Trump is a troglodyte, a lower-functioning subspecies humanoid that likes to inhabit subterranean dwellings (he has his bunker) and tends to chiefly subsist on some form of government and/or taxpayer assistance (our taxes pay Trump's salary and for all the perks he gets just because he's POTUS)." I guess Freedom of Speech no longer applies here in America.

You continue to say I have too many complaints!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone sees my name come up and then they complain. Enough is enough. I can post it's a nice day, etc..........and I'm still deleted!

AOL, Explain the reason for deleting the following post that simply explains how someone can get an absentee ballot for the election . . .
"REALLY SIMPLE AND TAKES 2 MINUTES . . . Go to VOTE.org, select Vote by Mail, Fill out info and submit. An Absentee Ballot will be sent to you and you didn't have to go out anywhere." -

Are you using humans or a system to programs to edit and refuse or allow comments. They are inconsistent. Even normal disagreements are deemed unworthy one day but the same words approved the next. If not vulgar what in the world are you using. I just wrote Dr. Fauci is a national treasure and GOP supporters ignore his advice. It was rejected. Then it said because I had been banned too many times I couldn't even post on another message. I've been an AOL subscriber for 20+ years....what is going on???????????/!!!!!!

I posted the following and there is no reason whatsoever it should have been held and censored. "Well, the biggest story in modern times, one that brought down a President, didn't include any names and was 100% true. *********** was the pseudonym given to the secret informant, i.e. an anonymous source, who provided information in 1972 to Bob Woodward, who shared it with Carl Bernstein. *********** provided key details about the involvement of U.S. President Richard Nixon's administration in what came to be known as the Watergate scandal." This is just another example of the ridiculous censorship that makes me believe more and more that we now live in a distant suburb of the Soviet Union and not the United States of America.
