Whoever had the unbrilliant notion to put ads in place of photo captions needs a new brain. Yah, I know that I can click the box in the picture to get the caption. That however loses part of the picture. AOL = the unfriendly site.

You know, it's really a shame that every story I wish to read I have to go through 10-20 pages of ads. I no longer read any of these stories because I just do not ave the time to spend 20-30 minutes clicking through numerous pages. You all have over-saturated content with ads that people no long watch! You have defeated your purpose! It is much easier to go to Firefox or Chrome and look up the subject where you can view the story all at once. I guess no one in marketing has the ability to understand this as they keep putting up more ads to where it now takes on more then 30% of my browser screenA

I want my news articles to get to the point. Bottom line. no 20 page essays with a dozen commercial ads on each page. "Boredom Therapy" is the worst. I won't read them. I'm not bored. My time is valuable. Get to the point.

Your ads have become a royal pain **********. NOW you have ads that take up over 25% of my screen and I have to fight to read the articles you post. If this isn't STOPPED I'll stop paying for AOL. I've been with AOL since it was PC Link that came with my Tandy Computer. This is the FIRST time I've seriously considered dropping it's use. FIX THIS!!

Any and all stories where one has to click on "NEXT PAGE" I automatically close the window for that story. It's ridiculous to have to go through fifteen pages to find the story that was headlined. You really need to change your format.

WHY do I have to be subjected day and night, for days and days, to Planned Parenthood ads every time I check my mail? The ads are relentless. Constantly asking for money. Constantly touting their agenda. This is political and unacceptable. STOP THIS NOW!!!!!

AOL is 100% anti-site user. It is abusive and harassing to users. I sincerely
hope the company goes broke and the employees and owners all end up on
skid row. -

when trying to read a story on AOL, sometimes a commercial blocks part of the story and does not let me X (opt) out of the annoying commercial

AOL gold should stop the ads in there news articles. There's an average of 9 ads that pop up all over the page. I only have 5 inches of article that I'm trying to read in a 19 inches monitor. I have to scroll up since the rest of the screen is covered. There's too much of this.

Too many news sources that never get to the point like honest to paws. One has to go through many pages to get the info one wants. I refuse to read them. Get them off aol or make them do their thing in 1-2 pages!

Why do we have to contend with the expanding ads on the Welcome Screen and those especially by Progressive Insurance? Progressive already annoys us enough with their inconsiderate relentless repetitious TV ads and now thanks to you desperate bottom feeders we have to contend with it online too. For the last time we don't nor need them.
You need to start showing some respect and inconsideration towards us users and stop this unwanted **** immediately. Whoever there who is responsible for these ads needs to be fired immediately. There is no need in any corporation for inconsideration and complete stupidity.
AOL has been on a negative slide since day one and if you ever hope to improve you need to get rid of the totally incompetent and dead wood in your organization. A recent change in your weather forecast in changing the temperatures was a total stupid idea. In this country we read the temperature in Farenheit. Why did some idiot at AOL have to change it? -

I'm also fed up with repetitive articles and stories repeating old news. Having to click Next to go to the next page for an article has me fed up. Of course it allows AOL to run more advertisements but it is so irritating that no one would ever click on them. Will AOL be making any changes or continue driving its members away?

If you MUST use "next page" (no really good reason not to post it all, just scroll down!!!) then make the response instanteous.

When I click on some news that interest me, I have to go through a gallery of similar or related topics. Why can't I just see what I clicked on right away? Why do I have to go through a long gallery of similar subjects.
This is very annoying and insensitive. It's time for a change. Thanks. -

I also stopped trying to read any stories as it is a waste of time plus I noticed when I used to read them, I had a lot of spam and unwanted pop ups despite never clicking on anything except what story I was trying to read. Since I stopped reading anything in the news window, my spam and malicious pop ups has dropped considerably so there must be some malware loaded into those news pages.
