I can't read your articles when a stupid advertisement comes up and blocks the screen. Is your stuff that uninteresting? If your articles aren't for reading then eliminate them and save us money!

I agree 100% you cannot read the entire article without an ad popping up and covering it. Time to CANCEL

GET THE ADS OFF THE PAGES! EVERY PLACE I VISIT IS POPPING UP LIKE SOMEONE IS SPYING ON ME. I CAN'T SHOP AROUND WITHOUT WHATEVER I LOOK AT OR BUY BEING THROWN BACK IN MY FACE 20 TIMES! THIS IS LIKE MURDER WITHOUT THE BLOOD. IT IS CRIMINAL. IT IS DISGUSTING. IT IS INSANE! GREAT ARTICLES ARE RUINED BY YOUR AD SENSE ****.

AOL Gold has recently started a new 'pop up' advertisement box that appears from the lower left corner of an article I want to read. This pop up has audio and video that covers 1/5 th of the page I want. The pop up does disappear after it is completed or when you select NEXT to get to next page of article only to reappear a few seconds later.
Please deactivate this function because it only makes me quit the article out of frustration. -

Was TRYING to read Cheat Sheet, but some ***** thought it was necessary to keep pasting a big ad on the top. That blocked the upper part of the page as well as made the page hop up/down. I don't you bozos pay any attention to the results of your messing around. Or maybe you peeps are just used to all the **** because you've played video games 24/7 for years. NOT a pleasant experience. Now go ahead and merge this with something else like you always do.

This is absolutely maddening. I can barely get through an article anymore because of ads tying everything up. Having to click NEXT after two sentences is ridiculous. You have heard from lots of AOL users with the same sentiment. Why don't you do something about it? All my friends urge me to ditch AOL. And AOL Desktop GOLD? A real problem. Please, think of your reputation and your faithful customers and do something.

I totally agree. The ads are the point of click bait. Some of the stories are interesting, but rarely can you see the graphics. They are covered by ads. You have started putting up ads that cannot be removed. I am becoming more familiar with Chrome and after 23 years it is almost time to leave.

I completely agree with this post. I didn't mind so much when the ads were just down one side of my screen but now they're down both sides and overlapping the article I'm trying to read across the bottom and across the left bottom corner. It's bad enough having to click through every two sentences but trying to read around all the ads is becoming really, really annoying. I'm still a paying member for this service but this is starting to push me to reducing my usage to just a free email account.

Reading any news story or looking at pictures is now a chore. Ads block half the screen. And you have to click through ad nauseum pages to read any article. Enough -- understand the need for ads but don't cover your photos or news with them. Articles do not need to be so difficult to read. I just give up. Am looking for a new service after years on AOL.

Why when we are paying so much to use AOL, when we can get so many others for free, do we have to put up with so many darn commercials in our face constantly. 80% of my screen is commercials, they come at me from the bottom, both side and the top, this is in addition to all the others that are all ready on there, they pop up constantly, I am constantly clicking them off, it is only making all of us very mad out here, we are paying alot for the service when we could be using the free sites, I might add those free sites have far far less commercials too, I have never in 20 years with you people bought one thing from your commercials, nor will I, I never watch them, open them up, not interested, so please stop bombarding us with constant commercials, we pay alot, I can understand if you do it to those who are using your service for free, but there are so many problems with your GOLD program as it is, then to be hit constantly with things you are not interested in. Give it a rest, give us a break, for God sake. Also, why do we have to constantly have to click to a new page to read an article, 10 pages just to get to the end of a story, you people are losing customers because they are tired of paying for commercials and articles they can not read on one page............I am very unhappy with your GOLD experience. 20 years we have been with you, and we feel like we have no respect from you at all. What a shame.

How sad that AOL is now in the pocket of a group known for abusing their customers. Yahoo/Verizon/and god only knows what (blank you fill in the adjetive) pookas are doing with our private info.
The next page routine is the end of AOL -
