why is there so much spam
Why is there so much spam coming through? I never had this much spam with the old version of AOL before Gold. And yes, my spam filter is turned on. Please improve the spam filter.

I also have been getting too much spam lately. It is annoying and much of it looks like it could be dangerous. I have been reporting it as spam, but it has not helped much or cut down on it. You need to increase the filtering on your end to prevent this and get rid of it.

There is way too much spam lately. this was not a problem before. You need to do something with the filters on YOUR end. I have been sending it in on Report Spam but there has been no change. It is easily identified as it contains numerous unrelated letters and numbers in the address.

Send all those random email address to SPAM ... that's what they are. They are made up of random letters and numbers. I HATE seeing all that garbage in my inbox! It's a waste of time and a major nuisance!

I have been receiving a significant amount of SPAM in my inbox for the last few weeks. The only consistent thing with them is a vert long address with letters and numbers. It appears that the AOL SPAM filter basically ignores e-mail with long addresses. They are advertising multiple "products" from insurance to wrinkle cream. Please update your SPAM filter immediately - this is getting ridiculous.

Do not allow E-Mails With 12 Characters Or More In My In-box...Generally Solicitations include random (computer) generated E-Mails by which are usually more than 12 characters before "@" symbol...I want such solicitations to be filtered and excluded from coming to my In-Box

All AOL subscribers are suddenly (last two or so weeks) getting hundreds of obvious spam. Please do something and stop this annoyance!

Create a trash folder and give us the ability to specify that any email received from @xx.yy automatically goes into the trash folder. Recently I get dozen of emails with addresses like: 7VJX...@connect.vulcanhug.net; G0kQ...@pop3.marathorun.net; AwF4....@pop3.marathorun.net. While they are clearly SPAM they don't go into the spam folder until I force them there and because of changes in the beginning of these addresses new ones appear each day with the same @xx.yy. VERY ANNOYING, Particularly since I have to review the spam folder because you put stuff there that shouldn't be put there even though I have said they are NOT SPAM. Obviously your programmers are not very smart.

I never had this volume of SPAM with the old version. Now you're filling my mailbox with SPAM and then offering me an introductory "free service" which I will ultimately have to pay for to clean it up.
AOL, your days are numbered. You suck.

AOL needs to do a diagnostic to find out why we are all complaining of tons of spam recently. Maybe a bigger issue than just AOL???
