Ever since I went to AOL Desktop Gold I'm getting a lot of ad e-mails and **** e-mails and I'm not very happy about it, especially since I'm paying you. Also, there's no easy way to block these sites without opening the e-mail. Please respond with a solution.
The best way to resolve this is to mark the emails as “Spam”, that way you can train the spam filter to better identify unwanted emails in the future. You can also block specific senders by going to the Mail menu on the top left, and selecting “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu, then adding the senders emails address in the Sender Filter’s block list.

How can I stop the spam coming from this newsletter@ address?

I get 10-20 spam emails at a time, all newsletters, and all obviously spam. Why can't aol do something about this? Oh I know... because you want us to buy one of your services that takes care of it, right? Some business model you have there!

Please get rid of the SPAM. I've been an AOL member since the 1990's and it has never been this bad. I would hate to change to another email provider, but it is tempting. Please fix this! Thank you.

Excessive spam emails! A lot of them are from "newsletter@..... "(various email servers). I delete them and they just send more with similar email addresses. Awful! Those of us who pay for AOL (for nearly 20 years) shouldn't have to endure this. Some of these emails are even requests for ***! Please help!

I am receiving 50+ spams with "Newsletter@" and a change of name for the sender on each one. How do we stop this spammer?

AOL Has lost credibility. MANY of your stories are repeats/old. Having to click NEXT to read a simple story that ends up being 20 pages is aggravating. All because you’re hoping we will click on those dumb pop up ads by accident!!
To all who get a lot of uncontrolled junk mail: I never read AOL anymore. All I do is check my email. I do not subscribe to social media pages or websites. I NEVER click on ads. I NEVER share my email address or phone # at checkout in stores. I get 2-3 junk email a day.
I do not subscribe to special offers online. I delete cookies. I do whatever I can think of to erase my electronic footprint wherever and whenever I can. I also do not do online surveys I receive after placing an order. I do order online.
And yes loss of the wildcard is still something I miss. I want it back.

Is there a way to block all mail from a particular domain such as .us? I get about 20+ plus spam emails a day 98% are from .us, but address is different on each one.

Too much spam! I get up to 4 or 5 Spam emails nearly every time I sign on. They are almost all from .us but from different senders. Is there a way to block everything from that domain?

With the old AOL desktop, I had a lot of control of my mailbox, including being able to make sure that sexually explicit SPAM didn't even get to my box by being able to list phrases of subject lines that I didn't want to see. Now that those controls have been taken away from us, I am getting SPAM from this one email address where they have the ability to change the address just slightly so I can't totally block them out like I used to. The emails are OFFENSIVE and I don't even want to SEE them. I've tried blocking out the address but they keep changing the email address so the blocking is not effective. PLEASE RESTORE THE CONTROLS THAT WE HAD BEFORE...PRONTO! I don't understand why you are ignoring our repeated calls for restoring features of AOL that were good to have for a less than good experience with AOL GOLD.

Is there any effort to stop the junk mail arriving in my mailbox? I continue to receive junk from a web site that starts "newsletter@". As many as 20+ a day. My suggestion is to be able to block all email except my address book. If I could just move the address book to do that it would be great. It appears as though you at AOL want that junk to get to me.
Really, you need to do something about it. I am tired of paying for less and less of the thing I want not what you think I want or need. -

Feedback: Spam control does not control spam. I received email from ****@****.**.com, entered it in control and received another. I re-entered it and received another 4 or 5 emails from the same "spam controlled" address. Can't you just control any address that begins with "Contacts@"??

when I get a spam email that was not picked up by my spam settings, I want to be able to report spam and at the same time, block further emails coming in to my inbox with just one click. The way things are now, I have to copy the email address, go to spam settings and manually paste it in. It is a waste of my precious time.
