Ever since I went to AOL Desktop Gold I'm getting a lot of ad e-mails and **** e-mails and I'm not very happy about it, especially since I'm paying you. Also, there's no easy way to block these sites without opening the e-mail. Please respond with a solution.
The best way to resolve this is to mark the emails as “Spam”, that way you can train the spam filter to better identify unwanted emails in the future. You can also block specific senders by going to the Mail menu on the top left, and selecting “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu, then adding the senders emails address in the Sender Filter’s block list.

please turn back the clock to the method that only e-mail comes to my in-bax If it is in my contacts. Too much spam is going to my in-bax now!! Filters won't work because I don't know who is going to send spam so can't filter it out. PLEASE GO BaCK to old way

Please improve AOL's Spam control . . . I've had a 100 fold increase in Spam over the last week. Went for "0" to 10 to 20 a day . . . .

I know you allow us to list individually each spam email but to spend the time to list 50 different names is quite time consuming. I don't ever recall a time that I got 50 spam mails in one day. Why isn't aol screening for these before they hit our mailboxes? I've gotten 2 from unknown name@unknown domain. If that doesn't trigger an algorhythm somewhere I don't know what will.

I get disgusting email in my spam. Naked women looking for men, emails without unsubscribe links, medical emails showing disgusting body parts, the same emails advertising products for sale over and over again. I've tried blocking them by using filters for words used in the email header, but I keep getting the same emails. I cannot use the address because each time the address is different. Need a way to permanently block these emails!

Restore the old spam settings. AOL is now helping the spammers to our accounts. Why does AOL keep giving us less?

Every day a few dozen emails show up in my spam folder. They are all "newsletters" from various sources . This has been going on for months. If AOL recognizes them as SPAM, then why am I getting so many?
AOL keeps asking how they can improve the service. I'll tell you how. Get rid of AOL gold and put it back the way it was. It worked. Now it's a giant PITA. It's just a matter of time before I abandon AOL after more than 20 years because it's completely lame. No picture editing options, constant spam, and don't even get me started on the slide shows.

We are receiving emails form store-news@amazon.com. These emails apparently are not from amazon and we get about 15 a day. Yes they go to spam now but this is ridiculous. Can't simply stop these email from reaching individual accounts? There have been warnings that these are efforts to attack our computers and privacy.

Many spam senders ignore "unsubscribe" requests. Can these be blocked

I am having a very difficult time with the new AOL. I used to contact them when I had a problem, but they would be very curt with their answers or they would say that they could not access my account. I used to check out the news articles, but I stopped because of all the ads that I have to get past to read anything that I might find interesting. Now I cannot even block unwanted email addresses. I am beginning to feel that they don't want me as a member.

I have been an AOL member for over 20 years. But when it started the Desktop Gold version, everything went crazy. From too many ads to being unable to block unwanted email. I don't even check out the headlines because of all the garbage I have to go through to read the story. I went to the page that allowed me to block email addresses, but that stopped working. Today I checked it and all the email addresses that I blocked disappeared and now I am receiving their emails. What can be done about that without going through a browser?

Wish that you could delete everything in spam that starts with "newsletter". Whoever is sending those things out is flooding everyone's spam mailbox. Since we can no longer put a word down to make all items with that word go into spam, and then delete, we have to just keep deleting them all in spam.

I cannot block unwanted email. I talked to a tech and was told that I must go to a browser and log-in and go to email, etc. Why can't I block on AOL Desktop Gold? Why are they making it so difficult? Don't you want any members? it used to be so easy to block email. My suggestion is to bring back the mail preference page.

I get 10-20 spam emails at a time, all newsletters, and all obviously spam. Why can't aol do something about this? Oh I know... because you want us to buy one of your services that takes care of it, right? Some business model you have there!

Please get rid of the SPAM. I've been an AOL member since the 1990's and it has never been this bad. I would hate to change to another email provider, but it is tempting. Please fix this! Thank you.
