AOL Gold is a disaster! Oath and Verizon may be sued out of business.
Why sued out of business? Because they, AOL, continues to charge for a knowingly defective product with the AOL Gold program. Easy case to win in court. Happens all the time.
To wit: I have the AOL Gold program loaded on a brand new, $2000, solid state hard drive (fast), HP laptop with a 46 mbps DOWN and 37 mbps UP connection and AOL Gold is still dangerously Dog slow, locks up, freezes up and sometimes outright crashes the program, which has been symptomatic of the ongoing problems experienced by legions of AOL Gold users for many months now, going into one full year of AOL selling a defective product.
It would appear that the main motivation for Verizon and Oath to fix AOL Gold will come from another Class-Action suit and/or continuing negative TV news reporting on NBC, CBS, ABC Nightly News. This usually works. Meanwhile, Oath, Verizon Media Group and AOL continue to just talk these problems away.
