I know you will mark this as "Duplicate" and close comments on it.
But we are STILL having problems with saving emails as drafts. If an email is slow in saving -- and this happens frequently -- it often times will save 2 or 3 times. And if it is slow in sending, often times it will send more than once. When will this be fixed? Also, the cursor defaults to the body of the email and not the To: line. When will this be fixed? When I spoke to one of your tech people on the phone, she couldn't figure out why this was happening. I have also used Report A Bug…
You can disable the draft auto-save feature: Mail > Mail Settings > Advanced tab > un-check “Autosave draft emails”. Changes are saved automatically.

Its pretty sad that not only did you not help with my password issue, but the AOL employee didnt know howto transfer my call.
When an AOL user calls for assistance, try your best to not just give up. Whats the point of a membership fee then?

verizon bought yahoo, then promptly RUINED it, and now in the process of ruining aol? what is wrong with you guys, we should be entitled to a refund and free aolgold until and unless you actually fix it,,,can u spell unreliable in english?

how do i recover recently deleted emails.. Used to be able to under Mail,
Deleted emails are going to the trash folder. If you would like to recover the emails click on them and then click on the Restore button on the bottom of the screen.
The Trash folder will keep deleted emails for 7 days, after which the emails will be permanently deleted.

"Show images & enable links"
How do I eliminate "show images & enable links" at the top right of my email page? It is very annoying to have to click on this every time I wish to view an email!
To do that go to:
1. Mail
2. Mail Settings
3.Uncheck the “Hide images and disable links in mail from unknown senders” box -

So I see all these complaints about AOL GOLD???????? Really GOLD and I have submitted a couple and yet I have not seen ONE thing done to make ANYTHING better it just gets worse and worse. As someone else said they didn't even receive a response from you about their complaints, I wonder, HAS ANYONE? This isn't an upgrade or an improvement. How much more can be said to you before you catch on?

I have been trying to get into my AOL account to update my account information but keep getting a message to try again later. Gold sucks!
Get rid of Gold and go back to the original AOL. Have a number where one can call AOL to change/or update account information. I need some help here and can't seem to get it from AOL. My credit card that AOL bills to was compromised with fraud and I was issued a new one and need to update my account. How can I do this?

I am getting store confirmation order emails with broken images. No picture of items I ordered. Just a broken image with an X were the image should be.
Please make sure you have the “Hide images and disable links in mail from unknown senders” setting unchecked. You can find the setting in Mail—>Mail Settings—>Mail section.

If you received a Final Notice email to upgrade to AOL Desktop Gold, it means that you tried to sign into (probably inadvertently) the old AOL Desktop in the past few weeks. Since you already have the AOL Desktop Gold installed on your computer, you can ignore the Final Notice email.
Please import the saved data from the old software into AOL Desktop Gold. Please follow the steps in the help article below.

Why is "AOL Keyword" not giving me the aol keyword menu and instead going to the internet?
It used to be that if you hit "Control K" you would immediately go to the Keyword menu. Now, it opens up a search box that goes to the internet. If I wanted to do an internet search I would use chrome or the search bar on AOL, not the keyword function. Each "improvement" in AOL makes it worse. That's why I will be migrating to Gmail as soon as is practical
Please close and reopen the software and try using again the Ctrl +K keyboard combinations. If the Keyword menu still doesn’t appear, give us a call at 1-888-265-3733.

This is happening on about 1/4 of the sites I try to access.
What will go wrong next??
Please clear the browser footprints. Here is how:
a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.
Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings.No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.
If the issue persists please call the AOL Desktop Gold team at 1-888-265-3733 in order to have one of our technical agents further investigate this.

Please refresh the Mailbox after you marked an email unread (click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen> Refresh Mailbox).

add a shortcut icon to the aol desktop tool bar
It would be great if there was a way to add to the aol desktop toolbar. It seems to be a highly guarded secret. I can edit a name but not the url.
Delete the item from the toolbar and add the link again.

Try clearing the footprints in the new software. Here is how:
a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.

Mailbox problem
You said today that The Inbox is the main folder where all your emails (read and unread alike) appear.
This is not the case. There are 87 mails in my Inbox, and 306 mails in my Read box. So my inbox only holds New mails.
The folder that shows only unread emails is the called New, and the Old folder is where you can find all the read ones. If you want a unified folder where you can see both read and unread emails, click on Read on the top left, then select the Inbox tab from the top left corner of the mailbox.

Go to Edit > Browser settings > Security tab and check the option “Allow
local data to be set”. Changes are saved automatically.
