    Hi,

    You may want to try changing your Display Name. Go to help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-mail-settings and expand Update Compose settings | Display Name. Please note that in order to perform these changes you will need to log into your account by going to mail.aol.com using a desktop computer.

    1. Clear the app’s cache
    2. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
    3. Restart your mobile device
    4. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
    5. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data

    Hi,

    If you wish to edit your privacy settings please follow these steps:

    1. Open the AOL App.
    2.T ap on the “Gear” on the bottom right corner of the screen.
    3. Under the “Support” tab, tap on “Privacy Dashboard”.
    4. Sign in (if required).
    5. Scroll down and find “Your Privacy Controls”.
    6. There you can select which data can be used to improve your AOL experience.

    Hi,

    In order to open your emails simply tap the “Envelope” icon. If you encounter issues doing so, please try the troubleshooting solutions below:

    1. Clear the app’s cache
    2. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
    3. Restart your mobile device
    4. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
    5. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data

  5. Fix it!

    I was able to connect to my MyVAHealth tablet until last week. I can no longer connect and I get the message "the mail server imap.aol.com is not responding. Verify that you have entered into the correct account info in Mail settings." I do not understand what changed! You Mail Help link goes to a vacant page so I can't even get help. FIX THIS!

  8. Add a button in phone app for "mark as unread" that I can click while a message is open instead of "moving" it from Old Mail.

    In the Android phone app, there's no 'right click' option. I want a button visible in the phone email inbox to mark the message "unread".

    Learn how to filter emails in the AOL app:

    1. Tap the Mail icon

    2. On the top of the screen tap the Drop-down icon

    3. Select how you want your mail filtered:

    - See All

    - Read

    - Unread

    - Flagged

    - Unflagged

    - Attachments

    To get to the special characters, simply press and hold the key associated with that special character until a pop-up picker appears. Keep your finger down, and slide over to the special character you want to use, then lift your finger: That character will then appear in the text field you’re working with. If this is not the case, please set up your Keyboard to a language that has special characters.

  10. AOL Mail has indeed deteriorated since the last update. I cannot use it in portrait, have to turn the tablet to landscape to access mail.

    mail will only allow me to tick each email (you can't just click on and open) when in portrait. To open an email my Samsung tablet must be in landscape position..........

  17. Hi AOL, please allow attachment of PDF. Reason: A lot of professional communication uses PDF attachments.

    Highly annoying being forced to switch to PDF to share documents e.g. with my builder or lawyer.

    Otherwise good email system and adds are not too much disturbing yet.

    Thanks for reaching out. You should be able to attach PDF files in the AOL app. Click on the Paperclip icon and select the first option. From there go to your device and select the desired PDF file.

    Thanks for reaching out. The emails are stored on our servers and the are connected to your account. Uninstalling the AOL app will not delete your emails.

    Wie kann man Emails automatisch an andere Email Adressen weiterleiten lassen? Wenn ich im Urlaub bin und die Emails von AOL zu GMX in der Zeit automatisch weiterleiten möchte weil ich auf meinem Handy nur GMX habe um das Handy nicht so voll zu stopfen mit weiteren Apps. Und um den Überblick nicht zu verlieren. Früher war das kein Problem.
