  1. email addresses not shown

    You need to show email addresses NOT names so we can copy and paste into a new email if necessary. It's not recognizing a copy of the 'Name' even though it's my regular contact. RIDICULOUS! INEFFICIENT!

  3. all emails wiped out

    All my emails were wiped out due to "inactivity" and I did not even get a text warning for that. This is a very unprofessional and poor service. I have been receiving mail but not sending emails from that account. What is the purpose of a phone number if it is not used to contact the account holder. I want my emails back!

  4. Need to have an option in Settings to save messages as threads or as individual messages that can be called up separately.

    Need to be able to delete a new message that comes it without it deleting all the previous messages in the conversation. There should be an option whether or not to append messages as threads when people reply to each other or to keep all messages separate. Email is not the same as texting where the content of each reply is visible at all times. Instead with this application one has to click "Show" on each previous message to them. It's a nightmare to find a piece of information sent earlier in the exchange. Which is very simple if each…

    Hi there. You can turn off this option by going to Settings>More Settings>Viewing email>toggle off ''Group by conversation". 

  5. The header on my emails

    The header on my emails becomes very tall when there is a cc and bcc. This leaves a little window that is about one inch tall to write and view my message. It is very difficult to write this way. Please add an easy way to create a larger window for writing text. Also, you seem to have abandoned the Word-like ability to highlight text and drag it somewhere else in the document...very annoying. Many other Word features are missing, which makes me hate your new format even more. It seems to me that you want to emulate gmail, which…

    You should make your Compose window full by default, by going to Settings>More Settings>Writing email>click on ''Fill-sized'' at the ''Compose window category''.

  8. I had really important e-mails coming in to my aol acct that I had not used for awhile.Signing on tonight AOL created now needemail missing

    When signing on AOL said creating new mailbox because I had not used the other one in about a year. One problem I had important mail coming in last week and this week, I need those pieces of mail where are they. I will contact the FCC & FTC if you do not bring back my mail plus I kept some one it before. You had no right to take my mail away.

  9. How do you give permissions to Windows Mail

    When using my laptop, every time I click a link to an email inbox I keep getting a warning: "We Couldn't access this account: AOL. You might need to update your password or give the account permission to sync to this device." The signature of the blank email says "Mail for Windows" I have updated/changed my password and I still get this warning message! I have tried so many times to find a way to give Aol permission to sync but to no avail. Can't u guys create a simple category in "Settings" called "Permissions" so this can be done…

    Hi there. If you're able to successfully access your account through the webmail at mail.aol.com or the AOL app, and you already tried removing/re-adding your account in this email client and the issue is still there, you might need to generate an app password to connect your account in this email client/app. This app specific password would be a different password that is different that your account's. More details, here: https://help.aol.com/articles/allow-apps-that-use-less-secure-sign-in

  10. I have aol no pay app? You have taken away my ability to look at my read mail? How do I pull up my read mail?

    You new changes to AOL mail suck! I cannot review my read mail without pulling one by one! This is a stupid change. You will lose many customers.

  12. PLEASE SEE BELOW SUGGESTIONS-DELETING---FONT SIZES---COLORS---BLOCK SENDERS--SUBJECT LINE.

    1. I USED TO BE ABLE TO SEND EMAILS FROM ALL AREAS TO THE DELETE FOLDERAND GO BACK TO REVIEW AGAIN BEFORE I LOOSE IT. NOW IT DELETE IT AND ITS GONE-NO RECOVERY-REAL BIG PROBLEM!!! 02.COLORS ARE NOT GOOD ANYMORE-REDS AND BLUES BOTH ARE UGLY.
    2. I DON'T GET A NOTICE TELLING ME I NEED A SUBJECT - I HAVE SENT OUT EMAILS WITHOUT IT AND NO IDEA WHAT ITS ABOUT LATER.

    Hi there. Emails sent to the Trash/Recently Deleted folder are kept there for 7 more days, after that they are automatically deleted. If something does not look right, please contact us at help.aol.com

  13. Fix the same e-mail from repeately being moved to spam when it is repeately marked as not spam

    Receive one e-mail from a specific address. Saw where it ended up in my spam folder. Marked it as NOT SPAM. The next time I logged in it was AGAIN in the spam folder. I marked it AGAIN as NOT SPAM. Again it displayed in my spam folder now 3 times. I had over a 30 minuted conversation w a customer technician and all I received as a cause was a "check this" and a "check that" recommendation; even when the technician began a chat with a more senior technician.     Hi there. The option to block sender will turn off if you reach the limit of 1000 email addresses blocked. The block feature is best used for people, not spam, since spammers can use spoofed accounts. Meaning what you see might not be the actual sender address. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as unwanted. Also, you can create filters for spam going to your Inbox, by going to mail.aol.com from a laptop/PC, click Settings>More Settings>Filters. Here you can add as rule to filter the repetitive terms you see in the subject line or email body.

    Hi. We're always encouraging users to keep the recovery information up to date and having multiple options listed in case one of them becomes inaccessible. This can mean having one mobile number and multiple alternate email addresses listed on it. If you need help, you can always contact us at help.aol.com

  18. New email format has issues

    Using my desktop computer, when I delete an email, at least one and sometimes more of the emails below the one I intend to delete gets deleted and they are gone. Can’t be retrieved. Never had issues like this with the old email format. Your tech people can’t figure it out. I’m not a computer expert but it’s clearly a software issue.

  20. Customer Service with new AOL Mail

    As a company, we have expressed how unhappy we are with this new version you have forced us to use many times, both on this dashboard and over the phone. I can no longer find the feedback thread that had over 12k in complaints. It seems to have magically disappeared. However, you can still see page after page of people dissatisfied with this new version. Why not take your customer's concerns and complaints seriously? Poor customer service is an understatement. This new version isn't about it being new/unfamiliar or not user friendly (although that is still very much a thing).…
