forcing the favorites folders to be in alphabetical order is one of the dumbest things that you guys have done so far ... why would you even think to do that ??? I want them in the order that I want them to be in order to make it easier to find/access them. give the customer a choice in settings to set how WE want it to work ... remember that we are the customer & you are here to provide a service that makes our lives better/easier & for us to want to use your services, not make it harder so that we don't want to use your services, if you want to retain your customers, or maybe nobody at aol even cares anymore.

Yes you can change the name of folders. Just right click and then click on Edit. Also, if you want a folder near the top just add the number 1 in front of it like this for a folders named TV Information:
1-TV information. No space after the 1-. -

I hate the alphabetized Favorite Places!
And we can't rename or rearrange the order of folders!
I'm surprised no one has brought this up! This wastes a lot of time!
If you have a lot of Favorites in a folder it is very difficult to find some of them now! I used to arrange them in order of how often I needed them. Now when I drop a Favorite Place in a large folder I have to search and search for it because web makers don't use the same protocols!
I now rename the Favorites that I want to find with an exclamation point in front of the address.
I don't want to be forced to alphabetize the order of my Favorite Places!

Change the favorites back to the way they were. Very upsetting to work with it the way it is. Lost many important items that I thought were saved. Many folders are now empty. When I try to save something it gets lost.
Hate it!!!!!!!! -

Section headings are useful but when you add an item and it drops to the bottom of the page, it's not where you expect to find it. 1 user with a specific (songs) category does not fit everyone else's requirements. 1 plus does not cancel out 1,000 complaints. Let us select Alphabetic of specific placements.

It seems that there a lot of members with problems with this "New and improved" AOL Gold program...including myself. It also seems that many have been fixed so as a very long time user I have to ask the question, why in Beta format wasnt al lot of this fixed before you rushed to force us to change. The 98.2 Blue program did NOT have the flaws and screwups as this program So again I'm wondering why it's so difficult to bring back features that were good & worked ie: print icon....Buddy Lists ....the ability to arrange Favorites the way we like and be able to Save it on our hard drive...I won;t even mention bringing back some form of instant messages...but I think you get the idea that this New & Improved isnt working for the majority of the members!!! As far as I can tell you are making more money with all of the irritating commercials and sponsors.....I think we realize you have to make money but your short changing your members in the process!!!

Please go back to the older version of favorite places... Sometimes when I click on a favorite place I dont remember the name of the vendor but... I do know it should be at the bottom of list.... Bad idea whoever thought of changing it... Sometimes... " If it aint broke, don't fix it" ....

Try putting my categories back in alphabetical order instead of some random order. You also screwed up my favorite places by putting everything in alphabetical order. I had them organized exactly the way I wanted them. Did it ever occur to you to ask before you do things to help me? BTW if I use chrome, my categories are in alphabetical order. When I use Gold they are not. I can't believe I'm still paying for the downgrade to gold, which you forced me to do. How do I get a refund. You could have not possibly tested gold before forcing it on all of us. Your programming staff should be ashamed of their product.

The AOL Gold team arbitrarily rearranged "My Favorite Places" without input from users . . . that was not one of your better ideas . . . please rethink that decision. I gave careful thought to the way I had them arranged, and now this random assortment is no longer convenient or useful.

I felt like this at first but the truth is Favorites being alphabetized is the best thing AOL did if you know how to set it up. If you want important URL's near the top, just capitalize them so they stand out and put an asterisk immediately in front of them. The reasoning is that an asterisk (or any other sign such as &, or %, or even a dash comes before URL's starting with an A. Like below. Make sure there is no space after the asteriisk:
*ETSY
*HSN
*JTV JEWELRY -
