As mentioned, is it possible for those who liked 9.8.2 to be able to download or use that version? Thanks

I would like to see the little window when embedding photos that gives us the choice of email friendly or full size photos. Right now there is no email friendly and it drastically limits how many photos we can embed. With the older version of AOL (9.5 or so) I could embed as many as 7 photos but now I can only do two and can only do those if I edit it and change the width to 320. If I pull on the corners to change it, it still transmits my full-sized photo. If I do two embeds at 320 then I can only attach one photo. I have not changed the settings on my camera and KNOW I could do much more than what we can presently do.

Another thing Desktop Gold is doing is saving every single letter I type and gets behind me and drops letters that I am typing. It doesn't do it all the time but when it does, it really slows things down.

The main reason I am posting this today, though, is because when my machine starts running very slowly, I know that either AOL is automatically downloading an update or Windows 10 is. So this time I went on-line and clicked on Help and clicked on AOL updates. Nothing happened. No windows opened to tell me anything so it's as if that feature isn't working. I just want to know what is running in the background that is slowing down my machine. It isn't happening all the time and I can hear my computer whirring like mad when the download is happening.

Gold is missing valuable and creative features that version 98.2 had. I know many people are now switching to gmail because of this. AOL was always the best email. BRING IT BACK TO ITS previous technical glory.

Version 98.2 was the best AOL since 1998. Bring it back and then improve on it.

Where is the help! Just what are you all doing to fix all these issues?

Version 98.2 was perfect and easy to use. Cutting and pasting a photo into gold takes forever and then it takes MINUTES TO SEND unlike 98.2

I have complained numerous times about gold. It is nearly impossible to send photos by email, 98.2 was perfect they should have expanded on that version. Gold often sends messages we cannot send mail at this time, the friendly email icons "sleeping cat" butterflies etc are gone!

Why change from something that works to something that don't work.. To many reason to write down as to why I HATE GOLD

Please return "ignore" on right-click emails so that we can look at them later if we like, or delete. The email will then go to the old mail file.
Please, please, eliminate the 100 (sometimes more) spam emails in our spam files. Some of them are crude and vulgar. All are unwanted ads.
Please correct the typing of emails to show the text and keep up with the typist. We have to wait for a long time (sometimes) to see what we have typed. It's very frustrating. Thank you for trying to help.

Many features missing in Desktop Gold that the Free Desktop had. Gold doesn't have the email capacity that the old free versions had. I had to delete many saved emails in order to speed up the slow response of Gold when reading emails and even totally freezing up when I couldn't even log out. Gold isn't capable of reading PFC emails offline like old free Desktop. Also, there is no Manage saved mail feature on Gold like I could with the old Free desktop where I could backup, restore and compact my PFC. I could even have backup performed automatically weekly or monthly.

How about giving back our old AOL. Don't have so many problems. Very little on GOLD worth the effort.

Not sure anything will change, but think how lucky all of the old AOL users are having to pay to tell you what is wrong with the lousty GOLD!

Gold was not ready and you knew it

You can work on the bells and whistles later! The original purpose of AOL was as an email service and for three solid days I couldn't even VIEW my email on Desktop Gold! It's bad enough that it's slow to load, can't remember to save window size/position, won't open to full screen, takes forever to list mail - but I'm using my FREE mobile app more than the Desktop Gold (more like "lead") version that I'm paying $19/month for?? I avoided calling the service line because we can't understand each other and the experience is a waste of my time - but I couldn't even submit a bug report because the toolbar was unresponsive - then the entire program locked up solid so I had no choice!
ps: don't try to sell me a safe and secure browser for a 30-day "free" trial" when all I want is for THIS program to work (at least as well as AOL 9.8?)

I think that you should back out AOL GOLD and return to the previous version - what, 9.8? - until you have fixed these problems. There is very little about AOL GOLD that anyone likes.

Please fix the response time in bringing up a web page. After getting on to a web page it takes FOREVER to scroll down the page. I like to play games, but the response time does not allow me good gaming experience -- actually, it is extremely frustrating. I get out of AOL and go to EXPLORER. EXPLORER is faster, if you can believe that.

When I can get quicker response with Explorer then you know something is not right.

Please fix the AOL launch. It takes to long for AOL to launch. I have to wait at least 10 seconds for AOL to show up after I click to open it. What in the world!!!

9.8 was much better having multiple issues with Gold. ridiculus amount of spam and phising I've been with AOL a long time but i don't have these issues with my GMAIL account. seriously thinking about dropping my account soon.

AOL has increased its price and drastically reduced its ability. AOL Gold is NOT worth the price. Bring back 9.8.2.
