Give us back the 9.8 features in Gold

Bring back desktop themes, stationery and emojis for mail, allow us to set up Favorites like we want them, make icons for toolbar available. Most of the time when I'm typing a e-mail, the type doesn't keep up with me and thus missing letters or words. Give us back all the features of 9.8 because Gold is seriously lacking most everything.

    why can't we have local news that is local ? - end biased , inaccurate AOL news , finance , etc. - let your paying customers choice of welcome screen topics - allow simple user friendly favorites organization - improve site performance - failed to load URLS increasing daily - improve tech support - start listening to your paying customers -

    This version as stepped back years. I can no longer go under "file" and open up password files, etc to log into various sites.
    Worse yet, cannot copy and paste addresses from my address book to an email I want specifically to send to someone or on Birthday Alarm.
    I cannot copy and paste from emails into FB which I always could from the 9.8, What was wrong with it?
    Please bring these features back or bring it back. I have been a paid subscriber to AOL since 1995 and this is the worse version that you have ever introduced. I will need to cancel and go to gmail or yahoo if you can't bring these features back, I use all of these continuously so imagine my dismay.

    IT SEEMS AS IF AOL HAS TARGETED ''GOLD'' TO ONLY CERTAIN FOLKS; WE HAVE BEEN THE UNLUCKY ONES CHOOSEN !
    I KNOW 7 DIFFERENT AOLers WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I`M TALKING ABOUT ( including my sister in Fla.)==>> WHY IS THAT?

    THERE IS ONLY 1 WAY TO IMPROVE ''GOLD'' & THAT IS TO RETURN TO '' THE PLAIN OLE AOL !

    THERE ARE SIMPLY TOO MANY FAULTS ( or lets say Exclusions) TO MENTION HERE......WHY aol WHY???

    I THINK AS A LONG TERM CUSTOMER, AS OTHERS ARE...
    WE DESERVE AN HONEST ANSWER.

    Corrections:
    Gold AOL is awful.
    Dragging an email into MY FILES to put into my personal My Orders file - the whole section moves wildly back and forth and you have to catch the file you want to put the file into.

    When I'm reading the headline articles, three times this week the computer froze. Insane!

    Godl is awful.. It's slowed down my computer. If you want to drag an email into MY File, let's say an order, the icons flitter wildly back and forth. What in the world is that????,

    With 9.82 is you wanted to locate the emails from and to a person, they all came up in Search Mail. Now, you have to Quick Find in either the Inbox, New, Old and Sent mail separately. What in the world is that????

    1. Please add Verdana to the list of email fonts. It's my favorite, and it seems to have disappeared when AOL Desktop Gold came out.

    2. I know that AOL Gold has improved security provisions, but it would have been great if you retained all other features of the previous system. There was no reason to change them. They worked great and we all got used to them. Gold is different (and poor) in too many ways. Ya shouldn't have done it. Not all so-called "progress improvements" and "upgrading" are good. Just being honest.

    I agree. the stuff on Gold is hogwash. I am a PAYING customer, so why do I HAVE to wade through ads to read my email, read aol news or anything else. I thought by paying for all these 20+ years I should be able to access this without additional ads. I am truly disappointed in my AOL.

    In the middle of typing an Email and it simply stops printing. Lookup and the last half of a sentence I typed isn't there. Put cursor at the end of letters, start to type, fine.

    Several long term sites suddenly don't recognize password. Have to reset them.

    This whole GOLD thing was a disaster from day 1 and no one seems to care but the poor users. :(

    I have used Photo Gallery for a very long time. I can't now. Plus I don't like how the photos are set up now.

    I have edited my address book several times over several days but it doesn't remember the changes when saved?.

    The address book is not remembering changes to Primary mail or other mail edits when saved,

    This version is launching/loading faster, and I can access my email *most* of the time. Still looking for ability to switch screen names and see if there's unread mail BEFORE I switch though.

    I am ready to leave AOL. Gold really has too many problems to work out. Who ever thought they could sell this needs a different job.

    After I post about 10 comments all of the sudden there is a delay in my typing in the response box. I type and it take 30-60 seconds until the text shows up. I thought it was my computer buy I have experienced this on 3 of my computers that are in different residences and have different internet providers. It seems that AOL is deliberately slowing me down and I have AOL DeskTop Gold and pay the monthly fee.

    Is AOL doing the same thing that Apple was doing with the iPhone and slowing us down?
