Make spell check work correctly
Make spell check work like it did in the past
AOL Desktop Gold has a new way of spell checking your emails. This is done automatically, in real time, as you compose your messages.
When the AOL Desktop Gold detects a spelling error, the word is highlighted by a red line under it. (Click the link below to see an image for an example)
To correct the spelling error, right-click the word and select one of the options provided. (Click the link below to see an image for an example)

A small letter "i" is not caught as a spelling error by SPELL CHECK. Please correct this situation.

I keep seeing many spelling errors on your news feeds. Spell check doesn't work for other existing words. Like instead of:"losing" you wrote "loosing"

Sometimes a dictionary is needed to look up a definition/meaning. It's not used for only spell checks. Put it back!

Please install the dictionary it is not always about written an email.

If someone has already made this suggestion you should comply.

Please get the orginal Edit back in place of the truncated one in place at this time.

When I want to add a word to the dictionary, unless YOU have the word listed in the caption, it will not allow me to type the word in and then save it to the dictionary. I could always do that in the past version.

***** VERY IMPORTANT ***** as I use AOL for all my writing.
1. Please bring back the ability to edit the "Learn" words in spell check that the old AOL had.
It gave the option to learn the word, and the ability to go in and view the stored Learned words and remove or add some like we were previously able too.
2. Please also bring back the ability to EDIT/or replace the misspelled word in the Spell Check box manually.
3. Please also bring back the ability to "Right Click" a misspelled word and have "Learn" as one of the options, apposed to having to spell the entire email just to get to one word.
This is VERY important when you are working on mass or large emails. I've had AOL since the beginning and I would like to keep AOL as my main platform (regardless of the irritation with its issues or crashing while using mail...)

When spellcheck comes up, it does not allow me to write the correction in the space. In other words, today spellcheck showed I misspelled previous as pewrvious. The suggested corrections did not have any suggestions for this word. When I tried to respell it correctly, it would not allow me to do it as in the past. Please reset that option.

The AOL desktop used to have "Skip all" to bypass spell ckecking. Consider a reply to a foreign mail that can have hundreds of foreign words in it. I don't want to skip each word or go elsewhere to turn spell checker off either. And AOL doesn't want to learn thousands of foreign words.

The unproven gold that was foisted on us does not acknowledge its own spell check. Changes made to address book do not "take". The whole thing is an untested mess !!

AOL FOOLS GOLD ****. WHY did you go to a subcontractor? For twenty years I recommended AOL. Now I warn everyone to avoid it at all costs. Go back to the way it was before AOL FOOLS GOLD.

There is no Grammar Check with the Spellcheck on AOL Gold This is unsatisfactory to me.
Also--the list of addresses in the Address Book for AOL Gold is too crowded. It is hard to click on the particular address I want I often hit the wrong address line. There is not enough space between the lines. -

when correcting spelling/typo errors in the past there was an option to correct the same item throughout the email. can you bring this back pls?
Also, there was a prior option to "learn" a word or phrase so you did not have to correct a unique spelling over and over again. can you bring this back in the email speller options too? -

Have spell check work like the previous AOL version. It takes twice as long to spell check with the new version
