it is already shown on te AOL welcome page(homepage)
To disable the Search Window go to Edit > Startup Settings > Main Tab > uncheck the Search Window box.
The changes are saved automatically.

Every time I have signed on today I get that stupid Search The Web box on the upper right. Don't want it, don't need it. Get rid of it.

A search box keeps appearing in the middle of the screen. I X it and it appears again. I have to X it several times before it stays off.
Get the advertising off the right side of my Emails. It's annoying and is taking away the size of my reading screen. -

RE: the "Search the Web" pop up at sign on. There needs to be a way to opt out of the automatic pop up "Search the Web" at sign on. It is a real nuisance to have to "X" it out every time I sign on. If you want to add a "Search" option to the tool bar, that would be the alternative to inconveniencing most customers. Why does AOL like to irritate its loyal customers?
