You can't say "CHIT" with an "S", but you can access all the **** you could ever want. Go figure THAT out. & they insist on removing my posts because they seem to disagree with my opinion.
Images and some comments will be flagged in our system prior to becoming public.
Here are some reasons why your comments may be flagged:
- Language (Examples may include: all caps, inappropriate words, etc.)
- Suspicious IP

I posted the following: "Transgenders are not perverts, they are not pedophiles - they are people who just want to be left alone to live their lives like everybody else." I did not violate any of the rules about posting so why was it being censored? I really do want an explanation!

Man, I agree for the most part. But AOL has no duty to publish your content. Forcing them to publish your content isn't really American.
That said, the comment banning is absolutely 100% ridiculous and they need to stop ignoring our complaints. What a terrible company. -

Your comment moderation system is terrible and flawed. Your robot will likely post a wrong answer to this complaint. Please stop doing that.
The robot says, "some posts that may violate our comm guidelines are etc..."
Ehhhh.....Wrong. False information. None of those guidelines have been violated by me. If so, how long am I banned? Why do you withhold this information?
So hilarious that I'm making a complaint about the way you poorly respond to complaints.
EVERYONE in the universe hates your comment system. I can't understand why you don't care.
Just fix it. How hard is it? -

You don't have to read all the complaints to know there are way too many for you to possibly be satisfied with. They all say the same thing. Your comment moderation system is completely broken.
The support person who responded once to this complaint provided 100% false information. We follow your community guidelines, yet you ban us for seemingly no reason. I know it gets dicey on there and there's a lot of filth, but your filter is broken. I can't emphasize this enough. It literally doesn't work properly or your guidelines are simply out of sync with your moderation system.
The worst part is that you don't seem to care to address it. And, the 1 in 100 times you do, you provide 100% false information and direct us to the community guidelines, which we're already obeying.
1. Stop banning for no reason listed in your guidelines.
2. Stop not telling people the reason or length of their ban.
I can't possibly imagine the benefit to you of ignoring such a hugely common problem that is undoubtedly costing you advertising dollars.
Thanks. -

First Posted 6-28-21Whenever I go to post a comment about an article, the system immediately rejects my comment. No explanation is given. Most of my posts from last week, if not all have been removed. Everything was working Friday morning 6-25, and then when I went back on line that afternoon every post I had made was gone and the Note was :This comment has been removed. I don't understand. Normally, when I make a comment that is questionable, the system warns me to change or restate it. No warning, just wiped me out. I am a veteran and a patriot. I feel like my speech is being silenced because I am conservative. Please correct, or at minimum. provide me an explanation for this issue. Thank you. Mike Plumley

AOL is probably correct in their decision based on what you have posted here. I'd ban you too.

I am a longtime paid subscriber to AOL and someone at AOL who' s political views don't align with mine has set up an automatic rejection of my posts without even reading them. This needs to stop. I am paying for a benefit that I am not receiving. Liberal posts that are really objectionable and at times are laced with profanities are left to stand.

My last post was rejected and I DID NOT BREAK ANY RULES REGARDING POSTING! This occurs far too often! Who are the censors - 90 year old senile people who don't live in 2021 but are stuck in 1950 or righteous ultra-religious zealots who won't allow things that don't fit their "moral" standards?

I find it frustrating that there are some articles about which people cannot comment. Do you consider some topics too "hot" to allow comments?

I posted nothing but "hello AOL"
and it was rejected. My posts are being rejected due to the fact that I'm a conservative and post conservative views. I don't use unacceptable language. AOL's speech police are out of control. -

My posts never include bad or inappropriate language, etc., my IP is easily traceable, and I don't include images. Yet my posts are censored. Why?
