I agree with the comment about the swift moving ads on AOL Gold. They are causing convulsion like symptoms, headaches and eye aches. They are of NO value to me and I plan to change from AOL due to these annoying "fast moving" ads. It's almost like you are trying to distract us from our purpose for being on AOL, to write and respond to our emails. Please stop them immediately! They are stupid and annoying,

AOL is running scam ads & there is no way to report them , Currently a scam involves send money to invest in AI run stock trading. I'm going to report this to the FCC as well

Even though I pay you, AOL, $20 per month, as I have been doing for decades, you continue bombarding me with illicit and possibly illegal ads in every fractional square-inch of white space. You do the same with the AOL app on Android. In fact, on the app, you even slip-in ads as though they are somehow legitimate e-mails (I have since deleted your annoying app).
As a paying subscriber, as I've been since your beginning in the 1980's, I demand that you cease and desist—that is, STOP THE ADS. If you don't, I will have no other recourse but to drop AOL and subscribe to a competing ISP and e-mail client whose management respects my rights as a paying customer.

Get rid of fraudulent advertisers on your home screen. Because of an enticing ad viewed on AOL's sign in screen, I ordered on 12/2 2025 a few items worth about $75 charged to my credit card that same day. Despite my many efforts to contact them, the goods never arrived. Turns out the site, VERXEN, is a complete scam according to this website: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/verxen-com-scam-store/ - "Here is the evidence indicating this is a fraudulent website:
1. The "Bait and Switch" Products
The specific items in your screenshot—"Catitude Quilted Tote Bag" and "Whimsical Sheep Quilted Tote Bag"—are notorious in online scam networks.
* The Promise: The ads show beautiful, 3D-textured, high-quality quilted or embroidered bags (often using stolen photos from legitimate artists).
* The Reality: If the items arrive at all, customers report receiving cheap polyester bags with a blurry photograph of a quilt printed on them. There is no actual stitching, embroidery, or quilting. They are flat, low-quality knockoffs.
PLEASE enhance your security: I pay a monthly fee for AOL Gold and do NOT expect that product to lead me to a fake vendor, thereby costing me money and MUCH frustration!

I've been burned twice by fraudulent advertising that appeared as "story lines" in AOL's newsfeed. I'd really like to avoid having it happen a third time. I'm currently investigating a change from AOL Gold to another e-mail provider. Perhaps another provider will have a better approach to customer service that includes checking potential advertisers to ensure that they are not already documented as being companies with multiple fraud complaints. AOL's customers shouldn't have to initiate an internet search to determine whether they're about to be fleeced by an advertiser. Another e-mail service, even it more expensive, might help me to avoid wasting time in the future.

Eliminate scam ads, I've never seen so many on AOL. Most relate to the Government of Canada or investment scams

I now have ads popping up over my email, so I can't scroll through it. I recently was offered ad free email to pay more than I am already paying. This is gouging in my opinion.

When I review my list of scam emails, a small Google ad pops up in the middle of the screen blocking some of the email titles. Why is AOL allowing this kind of message blocking?

I am very disturbed by the large amount of space your advertisements take on the right side of my screen. I did not pay extra to have my working space taken away. I never have used a single one of the adds to purchase something. I never want to support this. Many of them border on obscene. I am paying a monthly fee to be annoyed by your company and do not appreciate it.

When reading newspaper in chicagotribune.com using AOL Desktop Gold, an ad appear and it blocks me from reading the next pages and it doesn't have an option to close it. The issue only appears on AOL DESKTOP GOLD. However, the issue is not showing up when I am using the regular browser(Google Chrome). Both chrome and AOL Desktop Gold are not logged in wo ChicagoTribune but the issue only appears on AOL. We have done the uninstall and reinstall process but issue persist.
