I have been a paid subscriber for at least 20 years. I always enjoyed reading the news clips throughout the day because I could get the information quickly. Now whenever something peaks my interest, I click on it and I have to continue to go through 20-30 windows to read the article. Nobody has that kind of time. After the first two windows, I click out of it, sign off and get on my smart phone to read the news. What the **** happened to my AOL?

When AOL shoes an article to click on the link to read. Of course we are bombarded with moronic adverts before going to the video. When the video opens we see something completely different. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HEADLINES. Completely different stories. I have seen other complaints about this issue. AOL obviously has chose to ignore it's MEMBERS.

The format of the news feed has increasingly become horrible. the "Start Slide Show" and "Next Page" are just ways for you to add more intrusive advertising. The pop ups - top and bottom - are so annoying. And it is so obvious that pages are designed to get viewers to click on the ad instead of the story. It has gotten to the point that when I see the gimmick when I click on a story, I just close it. For the most part, I am avoiding the news feed all together. Because of this very poor design, I am avoiding your stories and consequently seeing LESS advertising. Please discontinue this assault on your members.

Why do you try to annoy us with the constant expanding ads that pop up and expand? You have been told and told many times to cease this practice, why do you ignore our input?
These expanding ads are too annoying and really unnecessary. It is inconsiderate on your part to show your constant inconsideration and disrespect for us members. -

AOL is nothing but desperate bottom feeders putting your greed to make an advertising buck instead of showing some respect and consideration towards us members. If it wasn't for your members you bottom feeders wouldn't even have a job.
Get rid of the annoying advertising before us members decide to go. -

I just began to look at the story about the highest paid athletes, but I quit at the first one. Why? Because some idiot thought putting ads next to the picture rather than information (aka data) was a super idea. No way! Any time this occurs, I close the page and move on.

Your ads cover content all too often and make reading impossible. Why should I pay for incomplete articles? I am learning chrome and google after 25+ years with AOL.

If you get a lot of spam just get your news elsewhere like I do. I never clicked on anything except stories I wanted to read, so there must be a lot of embedded garbage on those pages. Best thing I did was stop reading anything on the news pages. Originally I stopped because I was tired of reading one sentence and having to wait for another page to load to continue reading. What I noticed is that most of the spam and unwanted pop ups stopped when I decided to just close out the news page as soon as it appeared on welcome screen.

Please put information into an article instead of the Next Page. The Next Page takes too long to sort through and then it sometimes locks up towards the end. Give us good information that is not as time consuming. I now just skip the Next Page info as I value my time spent on AOL.

AOL's so-called "updates" are nothing more than a changing of its ads. Rarely (if ever) is there anything done that improves the version.

Whoever had the unbrilliant notion to put ads in place of photo captions needs a new brain. Yah, I know that I can click the box in the picture to get the caption. That however loses part of the picture. AOL = the unfriendly site.

You know, it's really a shame that every story I wish to read I have to go through 10-20 pages of ads. I no longer read any of these stories because I just do not ave the time to spend 20-30 minutes clicking through numerous pages. You all have over-saturated content with ads that people no long watch! You have defeated your purpose! It is much easier to go to Firefox or Chrome and look up the subject where you can view the story all at once. I guess no one in marketing has the ability to understand this as they keep putting up more ads to where it now takes on more then 30% of my browser screenA

I want my news articles to get to the point. Bottom line. no 20 page essays with a dozen commercial ads on each page. "Boredom Therapy" is the worst. I won't read them. I'm not bored. My time is valuable. Get to the point.

Your ads have become a royal pain **********. NOW you have ads that take up over 25% of my screen and I have to fight to read the articles you post. If this isn't STOPPED I'll stop paying for AOL. I've been with AOL since it was PC Link that came with my Tandy Computer. This is the FIRST time I've seriously considered dropping it's use. FIX THIS!!

Any and all stories where one has to click on "NEXT PAGE" I automatically close the window for that story. It's ridiculous to have to go through fifteen pages to find the story that was headlined. You really need to change your format.
