Just a heads up. If I want to read an article, I seriously do not need to scroll from NEXT to NEXT to NEXT sixteen (16) times and see 100s of ADs and 100s of Pop-ups. If this does not change soon; I am cancelling my PAID subscription! Going elsewhere for everything AOL USED TO OFFER FOR FREE!

AOL Desktop Gold pop up advertisements are becoming annoying.

I was just told on the phone by a Verizon (Oath) insider that they bought AOL for the sole purpose of getting revenue for advertisements. So if all of these horribly annoying ads make it unbearable for us to use AOL, then why are we paying AOL when it used to be free without all these ads??

Got tired of seeing you ads for check-up, down loaded it for the free trial. Ran it once, now can't get rid of it, and instead of speeding up my puter, toke me 14 minutes to get booted up.

Paying subscriber and annoying advertising.
My guess is those of us that are "paying" subscribers (paying since 1986 in my case) will begin to defect and cancel subscriptions if you folks don't find a way for us to read content without the disgusting degradation of ads loading... I would tolerate the ads if I didn't pay!

What I do is do a Google search on some key words (a name, a place, what happened, etc.) and then I usually get a few hits with news articles on that story. Did that today regarding the young boy saving 1000s of dogs, Googled his name and dogs and got news stories plus a link to his webpage with all the info I wanted. I just read that and I no longer have to click Next, Next, Next

modify having to click next over and over to read a story is a bad 'feature'
I don't bother reading any of the stories anymore. -

How many times does a person have to click "NEXT" to read every news story? Stupid and time consuming.

I have been an AOL user since 1991, but am seriously considering leaving. The way you are doing the newsfeed stories is the most aggravating thing I have come across online. In order to read a story, you have us going from screen to screen to screen and even added your neat little trick of making the ads and the NEXT button jump so that when you click on NEXT your ad box jumps in front of our cursor, opening up the ad instead of going to the incessant screens. It is so annoying and ads that I might otherwise view just make me disgusted and I get out of them as quickly as possible. Your original way of showing links to a FULL story was best. I cannot believe I am the only one unhappy about this new format. It is awful and if I don't see improvement soon, I am headed to Yahoo or some other server. I have been loyal to AOL for many years, but you have ruined your access with all this manipulation. I know your advertisers are your "bread and butter", but you are doing them a disservice by not finding a more creative way of getting their ad in front of the consumer. This is not the way!!

Can't read TRENDING TODAY because ads cover the story. One ad had no X to delete it so I gave up.

Stop so many popup adds STOP - I can not read the business information. As a customer you can only get two lines of the story because your adds keep blocking everything. All popups are blocked on the AOL system setup but you continue to make it impossible to read a story.

it would be great to read an article without a popup covering half the page. I would expect that on a free service like yahoo but not a paying service like aol..

Elizabeth Warren is bad for America and I hate seeing her on my home page, and I certainly hate that the ad tells me to fight back against Trump. I think President Trump is doing great and the left-wing liberals are the ones who are rotten (along with some Republicans).
