I don't like having to agree to delete an e-mail. It's one step that is annoying.
In order to disable the prompt, please follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Mail’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Uncheck ‘Confirm before deleting items’, and close the window (changes are saved automatically).

Why is the Spam mail ending up with my regular mail? This has been happening the last 2 weeks.
And, why can't I delete unwanted mail without going through 2 or 3 steps?

PLEASE get rid of ARE YOU SURE? question after I delete an email. Of course I'm sure and if once in a while I make a mistake it is always in recently deleted Answering YES takes WAY to much time and I delete a lot of emails.

Stop having to reconfirm each mail deletion. It was never that way now it takes double the time to delete a piece of mail. You press delete, and then have to confirm your intention. We are not babies. Take that option off.!!!!!!!!!!!!

come on you guys.... "gold" was supposed to be better... news flash! IT'S NOT!!!! Everything is slower and more frustrating, and a lot of the fun features on the old AOL are gone. Now, we have to take and extra half hour just to delete files. GET RID OF THE DELETE CONFIRMATION!!!!
That's my idea. -

Don - I've not had any trouble, I click on the 1st I want to delete, press SHIFT, scroll down to the last I want to delete and they all delete. Deleted email still goes into recently deleted here so I have to delete it twice.

I totally agree, too many redundancies, double the amount of time to delete unwanted mail. The same happens when you attempt to permanently delete also.

I agree. DO NOT ask me if I'm sure I want to delete. If I select delete...I want to delete. The next thing I delete will be AOL.

Just recently when hitting the Delete button for an email, AOL then ask "are you sure you want to delete this email" and you have to hit YES. This is redundant extra keystrokes. When hitting Delete I expect the system to delete.

Dont like the procedure, please put it back the old way -

I would do a block select then either delete those, or transfer to a folder. Now that you have messed with the delete email function, deleting emails is a very time consuming project.
Why not leave the delete email function alone... put all the deleted emails into the RECENTLY DELETED AREA, in case you made an OOPS and want to retrieve something.
