I am so tired of the CefSharp.browser.subporcess.exe. It continues to tie up my CPU with huge memory use.
I hate aol s use of cefsharp.browser supprocess.exe. It ties up huge portion of my CPU in ways that stalls my computer. I called the help desk and they are helpless to do anything. If it continues I am considering dropping aol after all these years. The really needs fixing. Internet explorer does not use this and it works great, better than aol and its free.
Please send a report of this problem to our AOL Desktop team to have this investigated. To do that, click on the “Help” button on the top right corner of the AOL Desktop window, and select “Report a Bug” from the drop-down menu.

As a professional IT person advising a family member and perhaps multiple clients if this is a new thing that AOL Desktop Gold is going to try to do, is to NOT USE this program until this behaviour is remedied. No ifs, ands or buts.

CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess issues case # 15259434 (I SHUT OFF PAYMENTS till this is resolved!) AOL, is causing my computer to be VERY VERY VERY slow. EVERY thing on the computer is affected even typing in notepad, Windows File Explorer is slow, the keyboard is slow. In windows task manager there are multiple process of CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe. If I kill AOL, the PC is fast again. I have further narrowed it down to the CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe which is generated when the Welcome Screen in AOL is opened. If I close the Welcome window inside of AOL, the computer is again, fast. I am running Windows 10, Intel i7 core processor 2.8gHz, with 16 gb of Ram and ALL solid state drives.

CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess is being blocked by Windows Defender Firewall. Why? What is this? And do I care?

With a tech's help I had to reinstal AOL gold a couple of weeks ago and since then I get a pop up from Windows Defender that it has blocked CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess. This is something new with AOL that I never had before the reinstall. I would like to get rid of it out of my computer ..... How do I do that???
It's not bad enough that you've ended many great features but now a hidden exe file has been added..... I wonder if you've heard the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix or change it?"

Windows Defender Firewall has blocked some features of
CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess on all privat networks.Name: CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess
Publisher: AOL
Path: C:\users\xx\appdata\local\aoldeskto\app-11.0.2664\
cefsharp.browsersubprocess.exeAllow cefSharp.BrowserSubprocess to communicate to these networks:
(Has a check box to check) for Private networks,
such as my home or work networkHas "Allow access" or "Cancel" buttons.
Do we put in a check and or allow access or do we cancel ?
