Use an asterisk () to when you have multiple spam such as Version@choice.girtin.net, version@spondulicks.org, Version@suit.hygeist.org. Example: Version@ That would take care of all spam starting with Version@ and no need to list each one in the Block Spam.

I see no asterisk (*) in the explanation above. Do you mean to write Version@* instead of Version@ ? Also, does it work the other way, i.e., *@cortexoxy.online ? I add addresses to the Block list, but they don't remain there and I have to keep adding them. What's the point?

In previous iterations of AOL Mail there used to be a "Whitelist" feature where it would block all incoming mail unless the sender address was on a list I specified, or in my contact list. That feature was removed and it should come back! I am getting too much spam!

The Spam control in the settings for the ADG is no longer accepting wildcard email addresses. We need to visit the Aol website in order to add this kind of format in the spam settings.
