My inbox is getting more and more COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS. I pay for AOL service, I do NOT PAY TO HAVE TO DELETE unwanted email.
My idea is for you to NOT keep sending me emails that are ADVERTISEMENTS. i'M SICK TO DEATH of money-grubbing huge multinational corporations trying so desperately to get MORE AND MORE AND MORE MONEY from me, and other people with limited incomes. It's disgusting and you people ought to be ashamed of yourselves. But of course you are not, because MONEY is all that will ever capture your attention.

I am a charter member of AOL, and over the past 30 years AOL has deteriorated drastically. Today it seems as if AOL's main purpose is to get more and more money from its subscribers. It is no wonder that AOL is losing so many clients. If my email were not @aol.com for so many years, I would have quit my AOL account years ago

I am getting tired of every day having to delete mail I never got or wanted. I am going to start leaving all the mail in my recently delected account since it doesn't matter anymore.

Pretty silly when I can get my emails free by going to Google or any other web browser and type in Mail.aol.com and there is my email. What am I paying for when AOL Gold freezes and has so many freeking commercials. It was better 10 years ago....It really is a rip off...

I totally agree with Ken below. Your news has become unreadable. I am a long time AOL paying customer. But between the insidious Fast Connect prompts and your Slide Show news you've worn me down. I am about to cut the cord.

I know what you mean! I'm to the point where I delete over 200 emails a DAY from my spam folders. I've put these people on BLOCK, but AOL does nothing about it--except to send the emails to my SPAM folders. AOL is good about automatically sending the offending emails to the SPAM folder, but that's not enough.
Oh, and yes, I have unsubscribed, but apparent these unsubscribe sites are just sites that generate/collect and sell the address you're unsubscribing.
And don't forget when you click to try to unsubscribe, you risk being sent to a virus website. This has happened to me numerous times. I try to unsubscribe, and they end up trying to give me a virus.
Put a REPORT SPAM button in the spam folder, so we can tell you who out there is taking advantage of your AOL customers.
Having to delete over 200 spam emails every freakin' day is absurd. Especially when we tell you to block them!!

I will concur. I have had my account for approximately 20 years, or more, and agree that if we are paying for a service, we should not be subjected to constant ads either in the system or in our emails. If it continues, I see no need to continue paying for a service such as this. I know that AOL will insist that we are paying for the many programs that it provides, however, I, personally, have little use for any of them. If you want, give me a reduced cost and allow me to exempt out of your "offers".

And tonight I have two more items in my spam folder - both '.online.

I had 10 items in my spam folder - 9 of them were '.online'. This is typical of my days of spam activity. Since this is not a valid source it should be eliminated and not dumped in my spam folder.

Believe it or not, my SPAM filter does a decent job of keeping SPAM off my main mail menu. Occasionally, I'll end up with an unwanted email that I'll have to report. And conversely, when I routinely check the SPAM menu, I'll find email which are good addresses. However, when I go through the list lately, it has become crazy. Whereas it started out as 4-5 in a week, about two months ago the list was at 10 daily. Then 20. At that point, I began to add the addresses to the blocked addresses, following the instructions. Then 30, with many, many of the same addresses and/or "vendors" appearing. Now, 40-50 daily. At least, if you're going to give me a tedious and cumbersome process for blocking SPAM addresses, give me something that works!

I no longer read your articles that want me to go through numerous pages of NEXT. If you think your ads work...well they don't. I'm really getting sick of your nonsense.

I am getting mail in spam and when I deleted it goes to recent deleted, which means I have to delete it again. I was told by one of your agent that this the new way of deleting all messages. If it not broken, why break it. This does not make good sense. I spent almost two and a half hour over a two day period to get to the third level of assit aol. That it self is too long wait, at least you can call back rather than have people on hold for ever.

I agree with John Palcewski. The ads are so nagging! If you cannot eliminate them because you are in financial trouble, then maybe you should go out of business. I pay for your subscription and should not have to pay for the ads. I have been told that to get rid of them,I need to pay money every month/ Why?? If I have to pay for ads every month, I will begin to look for another provider that is not as greedy or financially strapped!
