My inbox is getting more and more COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS. I pay for AOL service, I do NOT PAY TO HAVE TO DELETE unwanted email.
My idea is for you to NOT keep sending me emails that are ADVERTISEMENTS. i'M SICK TO DEATH of money-grubbing huge multinational corporations trying so desperately to get MORE AND MORE AND MORE MONEY from me, and other people with limited incomes. It's disgusting and you people ought to be ashamed of yourselves. But of course you are not, because MONEY is all that will ever capture your attention.

I am also receiving a tremendous amount of Spam and Commercial mail in my personal email. The ones that are not listed in my address listing should be under SPAM. Please make sure that whoever is supposed to check the emails being forwarded to our personal box is paying attention to what they are doing. Spam should go to the SPAM box.

AOL's spam control is absolutely terrible. They have no control. Now when I follow their directions to block a specific address, AOL gives me an error message saying they have difficulty downloading the address into their data base. Once upon a time AOL allowed us to block entire domains and/or specific websites. I miss the old days when AOL served its users instead of its advertisers.

If Verizon still owns AOL, it's a huge blemish on their otherwise great (for me) service as a cell service provider. This is an example of the type of address that is clogging my spam box (sometime times as many as 40 in one day). With that many, it's time consuming to find valid emails that were erroneously sent to spam. Since AOL continues to say they are keeping current with technology, an 8 year old kid in they're bedroom could find a way to keep them from getting sent in the first place. If you're going to sell ads and make money from our aggravation, at least do it above board by having the advertiser use their true identity. I have been a paying member since the early 90's.

I'm about ready to quit paying for AOL because of these intrusive, constant ads. Even when trying to get rid of them, they keep coming back. It may be time to join modern society and say goodbye to antiquated AOL.

I, too, am so tired of all the ads! There are so many ads on the pages that I have trouble finding the actual articles. Also, every story I am interested in requires clicking pages and pages and pages to get to the end of a article. I used to be interested in the articles but can no longer spend the time or effort to get to the end. I have been a PAYING customer of AOL for probably over 30 years and am seriously thinking of dropping my subscription. Some people actually make fun of me for continuing to use AOL instead of the many free email services. The ONLY thing that is keeping me on your service at this time is that it is a hassle to change my email address with everyone. That doesn't say much for your service.

I've read the previous 8 comments and agree with the complaints in every one of them. I, too, am a very long time paying member. In addition to these previous complaints, today I REFUSE to go any further on very interesting stories as soon as I see "START SLIDE SHOW" and back out. The ads are ignored, bothersome, and extremely frustrating visual interruptions. How about making those Slides Shows into a SCROLLING ARTICLE so the reader can get to the one fact in the headline that you want to see the answer to. Since these comments go back to April 2020, are you taking our complaints seriously by doing anything about it in the last 2 months?

After almost 20 years, you have finally done it. Your advertising and window ads have warren me out.
The bad one was System Mechanic. Your sites have sent me to some bad places and canceled my card. Now System Mechanic has hung my machine. Ctrl/alt/delete, is my only option.
We are done! -

Hi,
I am a paying AOL member and have had my email designations for a long time, which is known to all my correspondents. Is there anyway to get rid of all the useless junk AOL puts into the frame. I repeat, except for the email, everything else that AOL provides is an absolute waste of my time and adds useless **** to my computer that I ignore or delete. Is there any way to cleanse the
app from these burdensome exercise except quitting, saving the monthly fee and putting all my email correspondence on my gmail account, which I am tempted to do. -

I agree with every word in your post. I too am sick to death of thousands of ads popping into something I'm trying to do. Seems AOL and HUFF POST do not care that they losing many subscribers. AND I AM SICK TO DEATH OF THESE 'NEXT PAGE', 'NEXT PAGE, etc. articles that I'm trying to read. The first 'NEXT PAGE' that pops up now is instantly deleted. Aol used to be a reputable site..........but no more..........now AOL has turned into a greedy, money-hungry *****.
